nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted August 28, 2012 I've always liked "Tangled Up In Blue", so that's #1 for me. But I also love a song Bob wrote and never recorded as far as I know. George Harrison later did about 4 or 5 different versions of the song and when Bob heard them, he asked George where or how he came up with that song. George replied, "you should know, you wrote it" and Bob didn't have a clue and never remembered writing it. After George covered it, so did The Nurktwins. The song is called "I Don't Want To Do It". Rick 156 Report post Posted August 28, 2012 So hard to pick. Love "I Don't Want To Do It," but I'm going to go with song that Bob wrote and both George and Bob recorded: "If Not For You."
nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted August 28, 2012 Here you go Rick, a rehearsal of the song you like. Seems like Bob forgot the music and lyics and waited for George to take the lead. Enjoy. TomFest 576 Report post Posted August 29, 2012 So many brilliant songs. How about "Like A Rolling Stone"? I always loved "Positively 4th Street". Of course the Heartbreakers covered "Rainy Day Women". Always a crowd pleaser. Or Jimi doing "All Along The Watchtower". Or the Byrds doing "Mr. Tambourine Man" or "My Back Pages". Yeah, that one. :-) And on and on.....
