WildflowerNJ 136 Report post Posted August 15, 2012 Gosh, I have no idea. Going out to eat is not something I do regularly. We do go out for pizza on Date Night....but it is just something we don't enjoy doing that much. I do like going out to eat when I am traveling....but food is not the big thing for me. I know some people really enjoy it, though... So I guess I will say I really enjoyed the Formal Tea I had at Harrod's in London and also the champagne dinner a dear friend treated us all to at Northall, also, in London. http://www.thenorthall.co.uk/menu/ Here are some photos from our dinner. It was so delicious!! https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.3930354210304.2157292.1023204068&type=3&l=43d8bd967a
SingsInFrench 262 Report post Posted August 15, 2012 It would depend on the specialties of the restaurant I'm at.
TomFest 576 Report post Posted August 15, 2012 Easy. The filet mignon at Daniel's Broiler in Bellevue, Washington. Best steak I ever had. No contest. Not cheap though. Dinner and drinks for my wife and I was over $200.
nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted August 15, 2012 I'd go with "Surf 'n Turf", filet mignon and lobster tail.
Echosoftom 3 Report post Posted August 15, 2012 Most likely it would be a thick juicy high quality rib-eye steak with grilled prawns.
Patty Petty 9 Report post Posted August 15, 2012 Definitely a surf and turf dinner. Best I ever had was at a place in St. Croix, OMG!
jawallac 48 Report post Posted August 15, 2012 For luxury, I go for Lobster. Best dinner & service I've ever had has to be at Le Cirque in Las Vegas this past January. I wrote about it on my blog....
Rick 156 Report post Posted August 15, 2012 We don't go out fancy. I'm not a huge fan of steak or lobster. Just give me a bourbon on the rocks and a great burger.
agirl 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2012 Rib eye steak with all the trimmings.
Marion 1,411 Report post Posted August 16, 2012 My favorite "high end" restaurant would be Tellers in Lawrence, Kansas. I love trying new things and I try something different every time I go there. Last time it was buttermilk marinated wood fired chicken with spinach scallops potatoes. OMG! It was to die for!
Magnolia 171 Report post Posted August 16, 2012 ^ Mmm, love Teller's! Around here, my favorite high end restaurant is an Italian place in Encinitas, I Trulli. I love the Caprese salad they serve (with real mozzarella), and a delicious pasta with olive oil and garlic. It's sooo good, with a glass of red wine. Amber 70 Report post Posted August 16, 2012 Don't get a chance to eat at high-end restaurants very often. I like to try new things, so would have to read the menu first. I used to be a real foodie and loved to eat good food. Over time, food has become more like a necessity than a desire. I am just as happy with an appetizer or salad from a bar and grill shared with good friends as in a high-end restaurant.
Magnolia 171 Report post Posted August 16, 2012 For luxury, I go for Lobster. Best dinner & service I've ever had has to be at Le Cirque in Las Vegas this past January.
