Patty Petty 9 Report post Posted July 6, 2012 I voted it never crosses my mind, because it hasn't. Although, I have started my playlist for my life celebration.
nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted July 6, 2012 I thought about it years ago when I was a kid in the 60's, probably inspired by The Beatles. Years later, 1 of my fathers friends retired and bought a bar and I used to drink there. He was funny and witty and always said he was going to write his obituary and he did, which was pretty funny. So yes, I've thought about it, but never got around to writing it. As far as a memorial music cd, grab a seat and plan on being at the funeral home for about 3 months cuz it will be all the Beatles records, TPATH, Byrds, British Invasion and god knows what else, hell I might even show concert video's, bring your own popcorn!!! Szafira 62 Report post Posted July 6, 2012 It never crossed my mind. To be honest I'm too young to do it...
agirl 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2012 Yes, but only because my daughter had to write hers for an English class. It was rather fun, esp. since you could lie about your life.

Liberty 191 Report post Posted July 7, 2012 (edited) I've never thought about it, but it's a good idea. If I grow old and have time to plan my death, I will definitely write a long letter to a lot of people so they can find and open them after I am gone. I think that being able to get a message from someone after they have died, that isn't a will, is really touching and can help people heal and say goodbye. I would love to get a letter from my father, grandfather, grandmother, etc after they are gone. Also, I would, being an English major, haunt the editor that put a grammar or punctuation error in MY obituary!
