SingsInFrench 262 Report post Posted May 29, 2012 No, luckily when I had a flat last year, a nice man stopped behind me and changed it for me. Otherwise I would have called roadside assistance.

bm29759 80 Report post Posted May 29, 2012 too many times... when we built our house 11 years ago our neighborhood was basically new construction... nails everywhere... I had at least a flat a month for the first year.

somewheredowntheroad 20 Report post Posted May 29, 2012 I am too scared to change my tire. I have been taught how to do it, but I am just darn right scared that I might do something stupid causing horrible damage to myself.
Marion 1,411 Report post Posted May 29, 2012 I can if I have to but won't hesitate to call roadside assistance if I get a flat. I'm too unbendy to try to change a tire these days. Like I said, I can do it if I have to but would only attempt it if I absolutely had to. Would you believe that my Kia Soul doesn't even come with a spare tire? It only has a fix it canister in the spot where the spare tire goes. It does come with roadside assistance though. Unbelievable to me that it doesn't come with a spare tire! The first time I had to fill up gas on my car, I was scared, too, certain that I would cause the whole place to blow up! No, I can't change a flat tire, either. LizzieB 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2012 I can, but I've never had to. Seems someone always stops to help. I'm more scared of getting killed by a psycho killer than ruining my car, so I'd rather people not stop, lol. I am just now leaving the tire shop...had a nail and had to get a new tire. Echosoftom 3 Report post Posted May 30, 2012 Yes I can. I like having my roadside but it's nice to know that I could do it if I had to.

I must admit that I could car about my car that has 140,000 miles. I worry more about something falling on me. Last time I had a flat tire, I was at a client and I called AAA. The service person that came was amazing - such a nice man. I love AAA.
Amber 70 Report post Posted May 30, 2012 I can change one, but with arthritis issues, I doubt I can remove the lug nuts anymore.
