nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted April 29, 2012 I used to go to this bar everyday after work with friends and eat and drink. Carmen and Ralph were always there as they are today. Read this article in todays newspaper to see who else stopped by. http://www.vindy.com/news/2012/apr/29/golden-dawn-still-glitters-on-the-north-/
LizzieB 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2012 Sounds like a great place, Nurk. I wonder why they set up cameras for TP?
nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted April 29, 2012 I hung out at that bar from 1976 til 1987 when I worked about a mile away from it. Then I took my final job about 25 miles away and never went back very often. If I remember right, the local NBC station wanted to interview Tom at the station, but there wasn't enough time in his schedule, so they set up at this bar when he went for dinner. I'm going to call the station this week and see if they have that interview in their archives and see if I can get a copy. If I can get a copy, I'll try to post it here for you. nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted April 29, 2012 This IS NOT the video I'm looking for with TP, but it'll give you an idea of the Golden Dawn restaurant and bar. nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted April 30, 2012 Sorry kids, I just called the local station and they don't have any archives from the 80's. I don't have a clue as to where to look now.
