nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted March 1, 2012 There's a lot, but if I have to pick one, I guess it's "Saturdays Child".
somewheredowntheroad 20 Report post Posted March 1, 2012 Take the last train to Clarksville - love the line "We'll have time for coffee flavored kisses, and a bit of conversation." And of course that that little instumental interlude.
DCAHNM 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2012 If I have to pick only one, it's All The King's Horses. Among others, are "Papa Gene's Blues" and "She".

TomFest 576 Report post Posted March 1, 2012 RIP Davy Jones. My first album ever was "More of the Monkees". Thinking back, probably "I'm a Believer" and "Steppin' Stone" were my favorites back then. My band plays some of their songs like "Look Out, Here Comes Tomorrow" and "Mary Mary" among others. I'm one that believes The Monkees should be in the R&R HOF. So many great songs and #1 selling records, it's absurd that they aren't in. I guess the reason for keeping them out is because it is widely believed that they didn't play instruments on their songs. By the time of their 3rd album, they played everything, and that record went to number 1 also. It took a modest effort by the Fab Four to knock the Monkees out of #1. A little record called Sgt. Pepper.
