SingsInFrench 262 Report post Posted January 31, 2012 I come from a long line of potato farmers, so I would say Wisconsin russets are the best! Beats Idaho potatoes by a mile! lol. Seriously though, it depends on what you're using them for. Russets are best for baking, but I like red or Yukon gold for mashing (with the skins on). I love potatoes except for sweet.
