Magnolia 171 Report post Posted January 29, 2012 No but if I could I'd plant tomatoes, lettuce, green onions, carrotts, bell peppers, and maybe some peas and beans. All the stuff I like on a salad. Can you grow croutons? LOL
Rick 156 Report post Posted January 29, 2012 I used to plant flowers, but not anymore.
weird monkey 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2012 It's tough to grow anything where I live, even if it gets enough water, the critters are ravenous. I mean, what kind of critter eats Iris leaves? I grow some basil indoors and I am going to try starting cilantro.
agirl 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2012 God no. I hate anything like that. I have a few indoor plants, but that's it.
Liberty 191 Report post Posted January 29, 2012 I don't plant anything... can't. Don't want to. Too much work. My grandpa plants: cabbage, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, lettuce, butternut squash, sometimes turnips I think, and watermelon (though he's not very good at growing it) and then old fashioned Musk Melon... He sometimes tries to grow berries, but he can't really get those right. Then he has flowerbeds all over his property that he plants. His barnyard and around his house looks like a cross between a really nice public park, a golf course, and a botanical gardens.
Amber 70 Report post Posted January 30, 2012 I used to grow really good tomatoes every year. However when I moved to the place I live now, the soil is so bad, it won't grow very much. I did have a beautiful rose garden and lots of flowers etc, but I have a degenerative arthritis now and am not able to do some of the things I used to do. I do love growing vegetables and flowers. Now I go to a farm not far from here and buy the vegetables so I can get good, Georgia tomatoes without having to do the hard work.
Marion 1,411 Report post Posted January 30, 2012 No, I've never been very good at it. I like to plant things but then don't know what to do with them afterward. Weed run rampant at my house!
