Question of the day 1/23/12

Recommended Posts

I agree with both Beth and Rick. More peace and love in the world would be a great thing. But I definitely look forward to having grandchildren and watching them grow up and maybe even marry in my lifetime. Maybe get some great-grandchildren too before I die. That would be great!

Along with peace and all that good stuff, I want to see America have a better education system.

I agree there. I was just talking about that with my father.

When I was in 1st and 2nd grade, our teachers taught us to "spell it like it sounds." My dad pulled me out and home schooled me from 3rd grade on.

I'm still not the best at spelling, but I'm not too bad.

I started going to college when I was fourteen, and have done a lot of English. Spell checker has taught me how to spell lots (most of the words) that I always spell wrong because I get tired of right clicking them and changing them; I just memorize them! So for people who think spell checker is bad for you, I don't think it is! I can't even tell you how many words I've learned that way. Most of the people that tell me spell checker is bad are people who don't have computers. Haha.

I remember when I was about ten, and I was doing normal math, and the public schools around were doing Lattice method multiplication and other strange stuff that had you running around in circles using a whole sheet of paper for one three times three digit number. It was crazy!
