nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted January 10, 2012 What do you think is the worst cd package ever created?
wild1forever 152 Report post Posted January 10, 2012 It isn't exactly a package, but "Kidz Bop" is the most vile series of CDs ever. I refused to buy it for my son when he was little, and now he thanks me, lol.
Szafira 62 Report post Posted January 10, 2012 (edited) BRAVO Magazine creates a package of best hits for teenagers. In 2011 it was 20 years in Poland so they create "the biggest hits 1991-2011." I was really angry because that was songs not between 1991-2011 - that was between 2005-2011 ... BRAVO Magazine is breakdown. About 4 years ago I was really happy when I was reading about music but today... Maybe it's worse because I'm not into new music now. nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted January 10, 2012 I hate the cardboard fold up multi cd packages that you practically have to tear the package apart to get the cd's out. Example: Led Zep's 2 cd 1 dvd package called "Mothership".
Marion 1,411 Report post Posted January 10, 2012 The packaging for The Last DJ scratched my cd with I pulled it out. But I do love packaging that looks like LP covers.
nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted January 10, 2012 ^ Makes you wonder why cd's don't have a paper sleeve, but let's face it, that would cost money!!
Liberty 191 Report post Posted January 10, 2012 I don't like the plastic containers they have for CDs because they are always breaking and cracking, and I'm not one to not take care of my CDs. I prefer the cardboard containers like Foo Fighters used for Wasting Light or TP used for the extended deluxe edition of Damn the Torpedoes. The fact that they are cardboard and holds them like a vinyl and its cardboard does attracts me since I did not grow up in the age of vinyl. However, vinyl has really came back a lot in the past few years. I have a nice size vinyl collection for a kid my age in this era. As for DVD packaging, I don't see why the big blockbuster movies don't have the cases that are about an 1/8th of an inch thick and the same size height and width as the regular 1/2 thick cases. I like the thinner packages because they keep making the thicker packages flimsier.
Rick 156 Report post Posted January 10, 2012 When I bought the Neil Young Archives Vol. 1, all of the CDs came in cardboard sleeves, and the glue from the sleeves stuck to most of the discs. So when I took the CDs out, I literally had to pull them out and ended up with bits of paper stuck on with glue on each CD . It was horrible trying to clean them without damaging the discs. Considering the price of the box, that should never have happened.
LizzieB 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2012 I also prefer the cardboard sleeves. Or the cardboard gatefold. I absolutely hate the jewel case, especially when it has that tape across the top that is impossible to get off. Those cases seem giant now.
