Beamish 0 Report post Posted December 28, 2011 4,000- now they know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall...
nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted December 28, 2011 ^ 4,000 holes was in a newspaper story (the Daily Mail), next to the story John was reading about a car wreck, that became "A Day In The Life". The 4,000 holes were potholes in the streets of Blackburn, that the city set about counting with a special pothole task force to "count them all". John fit that into his song, and added "Now we know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall", which has nothing to do with the 4,000 holes in the song, just something that fit and rhymes. Some people say that 4,000 holes added up to 1 pothole for every 26 people in Blackburn leading John to say "Now we know how many people it takes to fill the Albert hall". But, that's wrong, according to that it would take 308 people to fill the Albert Hall, cuz there were only 8,000 people living there at the time, and we all know that's wrong. Other stories claim John used the word "Holes" for how many Assholes would actually show up and pay for tickets to see the Beatles perform at Royal Albert Hall. There are many clues and stories to this and other Beatle Tales. Just turn around and you'll see!!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow will be a POLL about TOM PETTY, so get on your toes. I just have to limit the answers down to 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
