I voted for hardwood floors, but don't have any. My house is carpeted. I don't love it, but it helps keep my feet warm during the cold Chicago winters.

Hardwood floors hands down! So much easier to keep clean and they look beautiful. Right now I have grody ol' carpet in my apartment.

Hardwood...although all of mine are wide-planked pine. I like the idea of being able to clean them...just take the rug offs. I do have this little tiny den carpeted but I have an oriental, too, over it.

Hardwood. We have some stairs and landings we want to change from carpet to hardwood...soon, I hope. I do like carpet in the bedrooms and TV room (because I can't afford the giant, luxurious oriental rugs I want to go on top of hardwood in those rooms).

I like carpet with big dogs. It is easier for them to get up when they get older. I also like that it makes the house seem warmer in the winter. And a funny thing about Cooper. He has the slickest little paws. He'd be like Bambi on hardwood. hehe I think he is going to need some sort of winter boots or something.

I love hardwood because it's pretty and I have allergies, so carpeting is a no-no.

I don't mind a rug or two, but I don't mind vinyl/laminate. I like tile too, but sometimes it feels weird. Depends on the tile.

Our house is either the plasticy vinyl stuff or wood. The kitchen and bathroom are the plasic, and the rest is I think for the most part, original wood from 1836 and 1901 when the house was built, and then built on-to.

We have mostly tile throughout the house but I wish we'd put in hardwood floors instead. Funny, some of you guys talk about having carpet because it's warmer but down here in Florida, we like tile because it's cooler.

I have tile and carpet. I want to replace most of the carpet with wood. We keep talking about it, just haven't done it. I can't decide whether to replace the carpet in the bedrooms with more carpet or wood throughout. I do love the tile in my kitchen and bathrooms.
