SingsInFrench 262 Report post Posted September 7, 2011 Yes. The last time I was in my counselors office and I had a coughing fit (I was recovering from bronchitis) and I fainted sitting on his couch. I woke up and asked him if I fell asleep! I could tell a little time had passed, and I had to think to remember what had happened before the gap. He told me I was coughing and lost consciousness. He was afraid to let me drive home, but I assured him I would pull over if I started coughing again. It was a weird experience!

WildflowerNJ 136 Report post Posted September 7, 2011 Yes. Twice....(the time at the Troubadour for Mudcrutch, I came pretty close!) Once at the beach...it was after the lifeguards had finished..but it was so hot and humid. Another time was giving blood for my surgery....1994. Another hot and humid day and I thought I felt alright so the nurse said you want to go and I said yes. Fred kind of looked at me funny but I wanted to go. Well, driving home...I saw those spots and just went out! I had my seat belt on but Fred was holding me up, too. He pulled over to a rest spot and I threw up the cookies and cranberry juice they gave me......yuck.....I came home and laid on the dog's bed and Moe and Jake (my first chocolate lab) just looked at me.... Marion 1,411 Report post Posted September 8, 2011 Yes, several times before they discovered I needed a pacemaker. Once, passed out while driving and I crashed my truck into a tree. Thank goodness they figured out what was wrong with me and fixed me up so I don't do that anymore.
LizzieB 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2011 No. I've gotten woozy a couple of times. Once was in the emergency room with my brother (all they did was wash out his cut) and the other was getting allergy tested on my forearm. I'm such a baby. If I were in the medical field, I'd faint like every other day, lol. God bless those of you that do that work every day for the rest of us.

I'm a bit squeemish when it comes to bodily fluids. I could never be a nurse. Thank goodness for nurses! To answer the question.. no.

AndreaM 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2011 No. I was out once when I hit my head on a rock when I was a kid and got a concussion; that's the same side I get most of my migraines on. I've been very close a few times, but have always managed to fight it off, or lay down before it got that far.
KansasPettyFan 1 Report post Posted September 9, 2011 Never have.
kelly 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2011 yes, I have. When everything I see starts to fade and turn white, then I know I'm going down. Once I fainted in the Wetlands (a club) because it was really really hot and overcrowded, and I was was probably dehydrated. And a few times when I had the flu - also dehydrated and feverish.
