nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted August 15, 2011 I just got an email from someone we all know and it contains a link. The link takes you to a Canadian Pharmacy site that sells Viagra. The email was to more people than just me and I recogized a couple addy's. I'm guessing that maybe this persons PC was infected and the virus is using their address book to send emails and infect other PC's. So be careful and run your anti-virus program to be safe. nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted August 15, 2011 I did a quick scan and nothing turned up. I'm now doing a full scan that will take more time, if I find anything, I'll let you know what to look for.
nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted August 15, 2011 The full scan just completed and nothing was found, I'll keep monitoring everything to see if I notice any strange things happening in the future. I'm also doing full scans on my other PC's. If anything turns up, I'll keep you posted.
Softanimal 7 Report post Posted August 15, 2011 Thank you. I very often get such spams and commercials for viagra pills, too.
emmie 2 Report post Posted August 15, 2011 ^ I think everyone does, when I receive that stuff it just goes straight into my spam folder automatically. Then I just empty it.
