MDA dumps Jerry Lewis

After 46 years as the spokesman for MDA and raising hundreds of millions of dollars, MDA has decided to retire Jerry Lewis at 85 years old. There is no explaination yet from MDA or Jerry of why this is happening. Can his health be failing or the MDA just doesn't want an aging citizen that will only show up for an hour on a 24 hour telethon? We don't know, but it's a shame that Jerry won't even be there this year to say a few words, cuz the MDA doesn't want to hand Jerry a mic for a few minutes, cuz they are afraid of what he might say!! If I was Jerry, I'd apply for unemployment benefits from MDA, the ungrateful bastards!!!!!!

I know..... this is a shame!!! I heard about it yesterday on HLN and was really shocked, Jerry is a permanent feature of the telethon, how dare them make him retire!!!

Like I said, I don't know the reasons, but it's the end of an institution. I'll bet they don't get shit for donations this year, and that's a shame for R&D to end MD.

I think his health is failing badly. He was supposed to appear at some place a couple of weeks ago and it was cancelled due to health reasons. He's not a young man, lets face it.

^ That's true but they didn't come out and say that was the reason so they look really bad. They could at least say that much and have him as a guest. A shame.

I actually heard on one of the entertainment shows that he had dissed some of the reality shows, and they didn't know if that would affect the program. I don't know if that is true, but if he started dissing some things on air it could hurt them.

Yeah, I think the biggest problem here is they needed to SAY why he was canned. It is possible there was a good reason. If not, they are going to look REALLY bad!!!
