Echosoftom 3 Report post Posted December 29, 2010 Why did I schedule myself to work the day after I got back from vacation? How stupid was that?
Magnolia 171 Report post Posted December 29, 2010 It's pouring rain (not just the "scattered showers" we were expecting) and Gina and I were supposed to go to Disneyland today!!! :icon_cry:
Refugee 7 Report post Posted December 29, 2010 ^ Damn, that sucks. :085: That I do not want to go to work today. I really just don't want to deal with my manager. Last week was SO nice! She was on vacation, lol.
AmyLou 5 Report post Posted December 29, 2010 not really my business but I can't resist... I am so pissed that Jackson's "best" friend is being a jerk these days. When he needs him - like to play lead guitar for the upcoming talent show - then he's all over him... but lately he has not been included in several events he would normally be invited to... strange. Of course this bothers me much more than it bothers Jax - maybe they found out he's double-timing them with another band
nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted December 29, 2010 amy lou, i think you made your gripe and answered it at the same time. maybe it's time for Jax to move on and persue what it seems like to be a better thing for himself. change can be good, after all, Tom thought the the band name "Epic's" was corny and changed it to "Mudcrutch". if these other kids only want him to play so they qualify, then he is better than them. it's time to move on! Patty Petty 9 Report post Posted December 29, 2010 *Warning* BIG vent coming up here..... The house across the street is up for sale. The woman who lived in it was 94 years old. Her family moved her into a nursing home a little while back, after a few falls she had and her dr. told her she could no longer live alone. She died a few months ago. So, now her son has her house up for sale. It's a big house and it's neat the way it is laid out. But, it needs A LOT of work. Well, since the house was listed, her son (who is 70 something himself), has done nothing as far as some simple cosmetic things. (Like leaf clean up (and it's so bad, that leaves are flying over here), bricks at the end of her walkway crumbling, etc...) Like I said, her son is in his 70's, so I get that HE cannot physically do things. But it's a big family, there are grandchildren and great grandchildren and trust me, they have the money to pay someone to do some things. Two days ago after the big snowstorm, he called here to ask if Joe could do him a favor and go over there and shovel/snowblow the walkways. The realtor was going to be showing the house at 5:00 and it was kind of an emergency. Joe was not here, he and John took the puppies up to the vet for their blood work to be done for their surgeries next week. So, I took the call. I was livid he was asking this! I told him Joe was not here, but sorry, Joe wouldn't be able to help him out because he is slated for foot surgery and is not supposed to be on his feet at all! I could not believe he had the audacity to ask him to do this! When Joe got back, he was furious as well! He said, "Oh well, boo hoo!"
AmyLou 5 Report post Posted December 29, 2010 ^ is this guy out of town? be a nice guy and find the # of a snow removal service - next time he calls give him the number...
Patty Petty 9 Report post Posted December 30, 2010 No, he is not out of town. And get this.. we think they rescheduled the showing of the house until the next night. Because we saw quite a few cars over there the next night. Also, that day, a guy showed up with a tractor to plow snow. But guess what he did? JUST the walkway to the house. So everyone still had to trample over the snow to get to it. Joe's ready to call the borough and complain. It's the law that you have to have the sidewalks in front of your house shoveled. I guess it hasn't been an issue thus far because no one is living there, so no mail is going there. And before the snow issue, there was the leaves issue, like I said in my previous post. It is so run down looking over there because of that. Whoever moves into that house is gonna have A LOT of work to do.
AmyLou 5 Report post Posted December 30, 2010 be careful - you might *accidentally* slip and fall there... better than winning the lottery
Pettyjunkie 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2010 I know it's wrong to not like kids, but I really despise my client. Her "issues" is that she isn't punished whether it be time out or spanked. I personally don't care! But for humanity's sake, punish your freakin' child!!!! Today, she decided to run off up a slippery muddy hill. Well I fell chasing after her because of my converse. So muddy knees and hands. Then we get her back into the car where she decides she wants to throw all these toys around. We wrangled her into her car seat. She was not happy and she let me know it by pulling my hair and slapping me the entire way home. All because she didn't get her way. That's fantastic kid, no one gets their way in life. But OHHHHH no, her freaking dad laugh and smiles when she throws her tantrums and gives her what she wants. Thank you. Thank you so much for creating Satan's Spawn. DUMBASS! AmyLou 5 Report post Posted December 30, 2010 ^ sounds like a Real Housewives of X in the making. What's funny is that this dad is going to be so surprised and confused when his daughter turns out to be a hellacious (sp?) teen... after all he raised her perfectly!
