I love the smell of a real tree in the house, but disposal is difficult where I live, so I settle on a fake tree.

Mostly I noticed there are far far fewer people putting up lights than ever before.

Didn't pay them much attention

I wouldn't care, people make too much fuss about that.

I'd get a card for a store I know they would shop at, even if it's WalMart. [shudder]

2. Which do you prefer? Real or artificial tree? - If I was to put up a tree, it would be artificial, daughters and I are allergic to pine, plus I can't stand the smell.

3. When you drove around this year, what did you like or dislike about other people’s Christmas decorations? - Unless it's really tacky or so over the top, otherwise I love looking at everyone else's decorations.

4. How much did you pay attention to the messages on Christmas decorations in the stores this year? - They had messages?

5. Your favorite store put up Christmas decorations, but the message only says, “Happy Holidays.” Are you offended or disappointed? - I could care less.

I like when people go all-out. There is one house in the neighboring town who made an attration of their outdoor decorations and all they ask for is a small donation. (to help pay their power bill!)

Not much. I was too focused on shopping.

3. When you drove around this year, what did you like or dislike about other people’s Christmas decorations? - we have areas where the whole street or court goes all out. People amaze me with what they do.

4. How much did you pay attention to the messages on Christmas decorations in the stores this year? - I tried to stay out of stores as much as possible. Online shopping is the best!!

5. Your favorite store put up Christmas decorations, but the message only says, “Happy Holidays.” Are you offended or disappointed? - Happy Holidays is starting to annoy me. It's Christmas, get over it!

6. When you need a gift for someone, but can't think of what to get them, what gift card would you buy them? - depends who it's for, but most of my family, including my mom, loves Amazon.com.

6. When you need a gift for someone, but can't think of what to get them, what gift card would you buy them? It would depend on the person, somewhere I know they shop.

1. Did you put up a Christmas tree this year? No; never got around to it. Barely got the cards out. Not my best Christmas season ever.

2. Which do you prefer? Real or artificial tree? We've always used artificial; Dad was always afraid of a fire, but I'd like to try a little live tree at least once.

3. When you drove around this year, what did you like or dislike about other people’s Christmas decorations? I don't really like those giant inflatable decorations. The weather this month was really crappy, so only the diehards decorated.

4. How much did you pay attention to the messages on Christmas decorations in the stores this year? I'm rarely in stores, especially around now, and don't pay attention.
