Question of the Day - 12/25/10

Recommended Posts

We were seven for dinner and we did had some fun. I found the almond in the rice pudding and got a book full of quotations.

I got three presents; a pair of sun glasses, a song book and some shelves for my soaps in the shower.

I had a wonderful Christmas Eve at my brothers. He's a great cook, and we had all sorts of appetizers, and my sister-in-law made lots of Xmas cookies. I got a soft briefcase, a fragrance set, some beautiful earrings, a gift card, and maybe another gift today at my niece's house. It will be another great celebration!

We had a nice, quiet Christmas Eve. We drank some wine, opened presents, enjoyed good music and ate some yummy nibblies. Today we will start decorating my tree, do our stockings and then later we go over to John's Dad and Step Mom's house. They have a houseful and his Step Mom cooks an awesome feast! It's a lot of fun!

Christmas Eve was a good day.. We went to my in-laws. My folks came down. We all ate entirely too much good food. The kids opened presents... Then we came back to our house and opened presents from my folks. Santa came around 11:00 or so. The kids awoke to a plethora of princess dolls, pillow pets, and video games. Baby Pettyhead got a rocking horse and a little car. He seems to be enjoying his first Christmas.

I actually got some presents this year (as opposed to last Christmas--guess I was bad, idk). Among the presents: TPATH's "Nowhere/Surrender" record, Traveling Wilbury cds. :)

^ Awww, I LOVE that!

Still early here but my two favorite gifts this year are my Ray Ban sunglasses that I've always wanted and 2 tickets to see Steve Poltz in February! :031:

Excellent!!

We haven't opened gifts yet this morning. It's cold and I'm enjoying the fire right now. Last night we gathered with some of Brent's extened family, ate too much and exchanged draw gifts. It was so fun.

I've had a really nice Christmas so far. My brother surprise me with a Beatles poster and a photo of us when we were kids. My daughter cleaned up. She's happy. We're going to call the other family members later. The best gift is everyone's good health. It has been a rough year.

We had dinner for 30 at our house last night. Not kidding. And that was only my wife's side of the family. Mine comes Sunday. Today, just us and the kids. Santa brought me a bunch of clothes, a new wallet, and a vintage Fender amp. Thanks Santa!

Santa brought me the book LZ-'75, "a revealing account of Led Zepplin's 1975 North American tour including all- new interviews with-and insider information about-the band." Cool.

And, he brought me the box set Goodbye, Babylon. "In February 1999 a college radio disc jockey named Lance Ledbetter set out on a mission to compile rare and essential recordings of vintage religious music. Four and a half years later the result of this journey was released as a box set called Goodbye, Babylon." Also cool.

And he brought me some other good stuff. I guess I was a good girl this year. :P

I got some really cool gifts. A beautiful BIG picture of my Beast! A necklace, some owl magnets, a neat expresso cup and a comfy throw, something similar to a Snuggie, lol. BUT...mine has the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland (Stephen Fry's version), Lindsay got a Jack Skellington one and my husband got a Denver Bronco's one, lol.

Some really cool gift cards and a great surprise box from a dear friend. :003:

I want to thank you all who sent Christmas cards. It's my favorite thing to open and read on Christmas day. A tradition from my mom.

What a beautiful day!

We did have a nice time at my brother's, but he has no consideration for the fact that hubby and I both had to work last night. He wanted us there at 2 p.m., and we basically had to go from there straight to work, hubby for 8:30, and me at 10. I was uncomfortably full, and we were both exhausted. It was a very rough night. We couldn't come up for Thanksgiving, so felt obligated, and I swear he was punishing us!
