1. What book(s) are you currently reading? - A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick and The Confession by John Grisham.

2. What’s the last book you started to read but didn't finish? - A book called "Close Enough To Kill". I lost the book. Think I left it on the plane.

3. Do you ever give a book as a gift? - Yes, I just gave Barbara Streisand's new book as a gift at our Christmas party.

4. You decide to give your friend a book store gift certificate for a gift: which store are you most likely to choose? - Probably Barnes & Noble. But, what I'd really like to do is give them a library card. I don't think people utilize our public libraries enough.

5. Take this quiz: Are You a Hardcover Book or a Paperback Book?

You Are a Paperback Book

You are an avid reader, and you probably buy a lot of books. And nothing beats an inexpensive paperback you can carry around.

You read whatever you feel like reading. You aren't a snob, and you aren't ashamed of your tastes.

You always have a stack of books to get through, and it seems to be constantly multiplying.

You don't mind waiting for a book you want to come out in paperback. You have plenty to read in the meantime!

6. For your own personal library, which would do prefer? All books be hardcover or all paperback? - I prefer a little of both. But I do like the covers of paperbacks and the way the look.

-The Pleasures of Cooking for One by Judith Jones

-Small Batch Baking by Debby Maugans Nakos

-not sure I ever "stop" reading a cookbook!

3. Do you ever give a book as a gift?

-Absolutely.

4. You decide to give your friend a book store gift certificate for a gift: which store are you most likely to choose?

-Depends on the person. For a friend who lives a great distance away, I'd go for an Amazon certificate. If I know the person goes to a specific store, I'd try to get a gift certificate from that store.

5. Take this quiz: Are You a Hardcover Book or a Paperback Book?

Paperback

Doesn't matter in the least, so long as there are books to read. My collection is constantly shifting. I used LibraryThing.com to track much of it, but haven't updated that in about six months.

You Are an Ebook

You are ultra modern and cutting edge. You don't want to have to wait for anything if you don't have to.

You love technology, and you always are up for trying out the latest and greatest gadget.

Your tastes tend to fall outside the mainstream. You often can't find what you're looking for at a regular store.

You aren't the most patient person in the world. If you see something you want, you've got to have it as soon as possible!

6. For your own personal library, which would do prefer? All books be hardcover or all paperback?

Hardcovers are nice to save, but paperbacks are easier to read for me.

Whatever. I am an 'ebook' because I live too far from big bookstores and antiquariams to ever shop at there. I mostly get my books online, and there are some really great independent online booksellers like Alibris. My local library is a joke. If I really want to get a book from there, I always end up ordering it and getting on a waiting list, because they never have what I want. If it isn't a romance novel or on the latest bestseller list, they probably don't have it.

6. For your own personal library, which would do prefer? All books be hardcover or all paperback?

I doesn't matter, except paperbacks fall apart because of the climate where I live.

1. What book(s) are you currently reading? I'm constantly looking through my own novel, and working on a few other things. The last book I read was an autobiography of Alan Alda.

2. What’s the last book you started to read but didn't finish? When I was a teenager, I started to read Brahm Stoker's Dracula, but the beginning was boring, boring, boring. I don't need pages and pages describing the scenery.

3. Do you ever give a book as a gift? I once gave a depressed friend a book called 1000 Reasons To Be Happy. I have a depressive nature, but am optimistic.

4. You decide to give your friend a book store gift certificate for a gift: which store are you most likely to choose? Probably Amazon.

5. EBook

6. For your own personal library, which would do prefer? All books be hardcover or all paperback? I don't keep books, because I obsessively look them over. I have the first three Twilight books, in paperback (much cheaper), in my locker at work. If they were home, I'd never get anything done!

You have been building a library of books that mean a lot to you. You carefully consider every book before deciding to add it to your collection.
