I don't like hyper, barking dogs of any size. I tend to gravitate towards the larger dogs like Australian Shepards, Labradors, Golden Retrievers etc. Probably because the only dogs I have ever owned were of these types. I have found that most people I know with little dogs...when I visit them....the little dogs jump all over you and bark uncontrollably. So, I just speaking from my limited realm of experience.

I prefer cats. I get too many headaches; can't take the barking. Most of my neighbors with dogs have been aholes; their dogs bark incessantly. My ex had a dog that would whine in the backyard all night, because he'd let Willie in the house for five minutes, and the poor thing would be so lonely, and the cops would come. I don't blame the dogs at all, but still . . .

I love all sizes of dogs. But they do require a lot of attention. I work a lot and I don't have time to care for them. So I don't think we'll be getting one anytime soon. I have a relative who spends a small fortune in dog walkers and boarding fees because her work requires a lot of travel. I can't afford that. Also, she had a dog who used to bite her boyfiends....lol I can't afford that either!
