Yer so bad 4 Report post Posted December 15, 2010 (edited) My mother has rheumatoid arthritis and sometimes it affects her mood, yesterday she had a nervous crisis due to something really stupid, but she got really angry with us, and looks like her anger still remains today :icon_scared: Edited December 15, 2010 by Yer so bad ortographic mistake
AmyLou 5 Report post Posted December 15, 2010 ^ (((Yerso))) ok, I whine - It's SO freakin' cold here... dogs cooped up, no motivation, and I have to deal with the Christmas tree some way (since the first one's plug melted yesterday). Guess I should be happy the house didn't catch fire. I hate doing a tree, doing it twice? uuggghhh!
conmae 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2010 Constipation, prenatal vitamins, all day morning sickness...if this little bugger makes it I know it will all be worth it though.
Softanimal 7 Report post Posted December 15, 2010 My neighbour has started being noisy with his telly late at night... I am just tired! And worried about losing my job.
Refugee 7 Report post Posted December 15, 2010 My place of employment. We are having another fricken inspection and guess who is stuck again making sure everything is perfect? ME!!! I'm sick and tired of this shit!
wild1forever 152 Report post Posted December 15, 2010 Lisi, I'm so sorry about your mom. Hope she has a better day tomorrow. Minor gripe: I couldn't go with my daughter and the Mr. for one last visit with my niece and her thoroughly adorable 7-month-old son before they return to Maryland. It's going to be a long time before I see them again.
weird monkey 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2010 Auto responses to emails that sound like customer service could care less (livenation, I am looking at you). Bradley still hasn't bought his return ticketback from NH to CA, but he insists he'll be back by Saturday (even though he initially promised to be home today or tomorrow). Then, I leave myself on Tuesday for a week. I am trying to let him have his dignity as an adult and take care of himself, and not control, manage or fix him, but it's hard when it interferes with what I want. asakitten 13 Report post Posted December 15, 2010 (edited) I'm over-worked and under payed and no one high up seems to care. Edited December 15, 2010 by asakitten
AndreaM 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2010 I smashed my big toe early on my first day of work for the week, with a postcon gate (big bar of stainless steel came full force on it). I didn't tell management, because I was wearing suede boots, so the whole place would probably crack down on 'inappropriate footwear'. Hubby thinks it might be broken, but to me it doesn't hurt enough. I know I'll lose the nail 'cause it's turning black, and the top of the toe is swollen and a hideous dark purple. Looks like I'll be limping through the rest of the week with those same boots on, since they're the most comfortable! I have a foot doctor, so if it doesn't seem to improve, I'll check in with him. Even if it is broken, there's not much they can do for it, anyway.
LizzieB 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2010 The team I lead was left in a huge mess and now I'm going to have to clean it up. It's going to keep me busy for the next 6 months at least. I think I'm going to lose one guy on the 1st of January, its totally out of my control due to a contract decision, and I'm really sad about that. Someone dropped the ball on that one and now I'm left picking up the pieces. Sucks.
weird monkey 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2010 Sorry to hear about your toe, Andrea. Before I even got to the end of your post, I thought there wasn't much that can be done for a broken toe. Hang in there, I know you are even more swamped at work than is normal for Xmas. I know my mail is taking forever. I sent something to Brad for 5 days in a row day last week, and he got the last thing first, and the all the rest the next day!
DCAHNM 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2010 ^^^ Andrea, I hear ya about the toe. I am so sorry. I feel your pain. A few weeks ago, I injured my toe by tripping over my pants leg. My toe was bent upwards, perpendicular to the rest of my foot...don't know if I broke it, but there is still a bruise at the base of my big toe and it hurts to bend it. I hope you feel better soon! kelly 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2010 I know its Thursday, but I have a gripe. I'm so sick of people in other departments "requiring" my department to make accomodations for their holiday party activities. My job is crazy around the holidays anyway, and to add a bunch more details and people and scheduling issues to the mix really pisses me off. Especially when all these holiday parties and gifts and things are for everyone else, and NOT ME or the people who work in my department.
Echosoftom 3 Report post Posted December 16, 2010 No gripes. I'm in a good place today.
AndreaM 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2010 Thanks, ladies. Yeah, work has been ridiculous since we took over another facility's mail. They actually took our third shift's mail away, but gave the first shift (midnights) more mail, and now the facility that took our third shift can't handle the load, so we've gotten some of that mail back. It's obscene. I had to go to the foot doctor today. Being on my feet for eight hours made my toenail feel like it was going to shoot off into the ceiling. When I soaked it in icewater and it was only marginally better, I knew I had to go. Didn't want to get caught with a major problem over the weekend. He actually asked me if it was broken! 'You're the expert!' He took three Xrays and it's not, but the nail had to go, because it was all pressure. He said the toe looked like it was going to explode, and that it could be swollen for up to a month. I should be okay, now, though, 'cause I do have really good, comfortable wide shoes (I should say boots, 'cause that's what they are), even with the bandages. weird monkey 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2010 Glad you got it taken care of Andrea. I have a chronic cough, and the doctor asked if I had asthma. I said I didn't know. And he never mentioned it again. And I still have a chronic cough. Not enough health insurance to have it looked into now, though.
AndreaM 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2010 My podiatrist is a really good guy. He just takes whatever the insurance pays. I've never had a co-pay or a bill from him. He treats a lot of seniors. My father goes to him now, as well, since he almost cut the top of his toe off and didn't feel it because of diabetic numbness. It was thisfar from gangrene. I'm sorry about your lack of insurance. I hate lots of things about my job, but it has its good points, too.
