weird monkey 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2010 A local friend of mine had a successful opening and show down in Santa Monica this weekend. I am so proud of her! She is able to make a living doing her art, which is wonderful.

Amber 70 Report post Posted December 12, 2010 Wow, there are lots of things......I guess give birth. I was never blessed with the right circumstances for a child of my own. By the time I had a stable marriage and could have had one, I was already 40 years old. Didn't want to do the turkey-baster thing. I had a friend who when I was in my 30s told me - you don't have to be married to have a child. I said....well I do. I could not bring a child into the world knowing he would not have both parents and that both parents wanted him. I did inherit a step-son when he was 14 and a niece when she was 14....so I certainly got the experience of raising teenagers. That is where my wrinkles came from. nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted December 12, 2010 winning the lotto would be a good thing, but i'll pick something to do with music. like playing on stage for a concert with TPATH, Sir Paul or the Traveling Wilburys. it would also be great to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. weird monkey 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2010 ^ That's why I am going home, even though it's a royal pain in the arse getting there. My dad is in his late 70s and has Parkinson's dementia. I want to be with my family as much as possible in the next coming years. My mother is in robust health, but you never know.
surfnburn 5 Report post Posted December 13, 2010 When I see friends, my age group, that still have their parents around, I envy that and wish it were me. I miss them SO much. ^ I was thinking the same thing. I've seen others have the same moments of glory as I've had (marriage, babies, graduations, daughter's birthdays). It's about who wasn't there. I wish my parents didn't pass on so early in my life. I don't really need "moments of glory". But lottery money would be nice..lol
