David Hasselhoff's Reality Show Canceled After Two Episodes

Recommended Posts

Reality bites for David Hasselhoff.

A&E has pulled the plug on his reality show, The Hasselhoffs, after only two episodes.

The show followed the former America's Got Talent judge and Baywatch legend, 58, as he guided the music careers of his two daughters, Taylor Ann and Hayley.

The first episode aired on Sunday night and drew 718,000 viewers – and viewership for the second installment, which aired on the same night, dropped to 505,000.

On Friday, A&E confirmed it had taken the show off its schedule but didn't rule out airing the remaining six episodes at a later date, according to reports.

Hasselhoff was optimistic about the show last January, when he told PEOPLE: "My goal is to be a good dad to my daughters, to stay healthy and to go out there and be a performer," adding, "this show is going to be like Fame because my house is crazy."

Not crazy enough after all, it seems.
