Today's Disc: Steve Miller Band - Anthology

I just read that Jimi Hendrix's "Axis Bold As Love," Traffic's "Mr. Fantasy," "Buffalo Springfield Again," Cream's "Disraeli Gears" and "The Who Sell Out" all came out in November/December 1967. I was a month or two short of turning 18 and bought them all. 45 years ago???? Where has the time gone??

Going to see "Hitchcock" with some friends and then we'll be going out for dinner. No idea where. But tomorrow....we're finally celebrating Thanksgiving, now that our son-in-law is home. Our family, his family. So turkey, etc. I'm baking the pies (pumpkin praline and apple apricot).

The three surviving members of Led Zeppelin will be interviewed — but apparently will not perform — on Monday night’s (Dec. 3) episode of the ‘Late Show with David Letterman.’ Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones — who will be fresh off receiving the prestigious Kennedy Center Honor the night before (as will Letterman) — will turn up on Letterman’s couch to promote their newly released ‘Celebration Day’ live album, which documents their one-off 2007 reunion concert.

^^I LOVE posole. I've made it before (with red enchilada sauce), but never in my crock pot. Have to try your recipe. ^According to Wikipedia, "hominy consists of dried maize kernels which have been treated with an alkali in a process called nixtamalization." I have no idea what that means, but hominy is really good. It shouldn't be too hard to find a can at a large supermarket. They also make hominy grits.

My worst habit was smoking. Started when I was 13, quit when I was 27. It's been 35 years now, and I've never looked back.

We have 95% of our shopping done. By the time Christmas comes along, things should be pretty peaceful around here.
