  1. Not often, but I have bought picture frames there.
  2. Our house is carpeted, so I'm usually barefoot.
  3. I've always loved "Yer So Bad" the most.
  4. Congratulations, Liz. So happy to hear such good news.
  5. It varies. Whatever's on sale at the time.
  6. Last month I saw the Fab Faux perform the entire Beatles albums "Revolver" and "Sgt. Pepper" in Chicago.
  7. My turntable broke years ago and I never replaced it, so it's been CDs for me ever since. I love live concerts, but go to them very rarely. I don't like the hassle of driving, parking, standing, other people, etc.
  8. March 30....the day my wife Linda got her new heart.
  9. I love them both, but love Corvettes more.
  10. Busy day today. I got the DVD of "Cowboys and Aliens" from the library, so my brother's coming over to watch it with me. Tonight I'm going to see the annual "Christmas Spirits" show, put on by the Chicago Bar Association, which is a satirical musical revue of the events of the past year. I've set Sunday aside for paying bills.
  11. I've never loved ham, so I voted for turkey.
  12. I go out for an Irish breakfast most Fridays with one of my best friends from high school.
  13. Those are absolutely beautiful, Nurk. I would greatly appreciate the info on how to get one. I play an Ovation Celebrity mando (see below), but a Ric reproduction would be incredibly cool.
  14. My coffee maker, which also grinds beans. No day can start without a cup or two of freshly ground coffee.
  15. We don't have anything official. With the exception of my mom, who lives in Arizona and visits annually, my entire family and my wife's entire family and all their families, live within 10 miles of each other. So we see each other often, particularly on all the holidays. No one ever moved away, except for mom, who couldn't stand the Chicago winters anymore.
  16. 7:00 seems to be my usual time.
  17. 7 AM to 3 PM is perfect. I used to work 7 AM to 4 PM. I got so much done before everyone else started straggling in around 9:00, and leaving at 4 allowed me to spend an entire evening with my family.
  18. I think everything is getting more expensive, so I have to say "yes."
  19. I do all the housework and can fix just about anything except electricity.
  20. None for me so far this month, but Linda has one on Wednesday.
  21. Two years ago, I was making good money and had a corner office. And I was miserable, working long hours and available 24/7. A new team came in, and I was asked to leave. A year later, the guy who fired me was asked to leave. And many of those who are still there are miserable. Despite the problems with my wife's health, the past two years have been filled with joy, laughter and music. I go out to lunch every week with my best friend from high school and my brother. I go to the movies with another good friend every week or two. I see my son and daughter regularly, and get to see my grandson every week. Now that Linda is walking again and is gaining confidence, I will eventually go back to work. But I won't take just any job. It will have to have passion and purpose. Enjoy your new lives.
  22. No. We're about 95% done, but still have to find something small and special for all the guys in the family.
