  1. 1. List five happy memories of 2010: Meeting up with my friends and getting Knobbed, and/or seeing TPATH. I love youse guys! Finding out how many people care about me and how generous everyone was in my time of need. Sharing my first guitar painting with Mike. September 21st - hearing the most beautiful rendition of Ode to Joy ever - changed my life completely. Spending Xmas with my immediate family. 2. Describe four things you've learned this year: Hands are hard to paint. That I will probably always go to the hardware store for bread, lol Steph! ODAT's funny! Wash. Rinse. Repeat. 3. Which three relationships in your life have changed the most this year? Myself with My sister - for the good My boyfriend, who sings and plays guitar like an angel and adores me. :007: 4. Name two new places you went this year: Nowhere that I haven't been before, this year. 5. What one thing that you have done this year are you most proud of? I have gotten through a very hard year, but most of the upsets are behind me now, and I am looking forward to a new year and new beginnings.
  2. Does this help? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perfect_fifth The last thing I googled was Hilger's probiotic popcorn, and got limited, but helpful results. Google seemed to think that what I was really looking for was (tommy) hilfiger's popcorn though, lol.
  3. Barb, I pray you have good health from now on too! Wait..., I said zero, but I have been to the dentist 3 times this year. I have another appointment for the 4th, but I may have to postpone it until I get some income, since I am running out of savings. I could live for another month off what 2 fillings cost.
  4. We celebrated yesterday. I got to be with my family, best present of all.
  5. Since we had our meal yesterday, so I already know, turkey. Unusual because we normally have roast beef or something, but my sister got a whole boneless tukey from her school. It was moist and tasty, but too salty, especially the gravy.
  6. "Grandfurkids" Love it! Thanks for posting these here on the Farm, What fun! Merry Christmas everyone!
  7. Yes. We are celebrating Christmas on Christmas Eve, so Christmas Day isn't going to be a big deal.
  8. Merry Christmas Benny! Thanks! Downloading now.
  9. 1. Get fatter and lazier 2. Eat more Chocolate 3. Drink more red wine *hic*, it's good for my heart. :003: Okay. I think I can do this!
  10. Thank you Beth, May The Schwartz® Be With You!!! :003: PS My friend in Manhattan, a native New Yawker, just bought her first-ever Long Johns. It Must be cold! Edited to add: My bf just got back from New Hampshire - even his sibs who live there said it was 'stupid cold'!
  11. Sandbags!?!!??!? Ref!!!! A friend of a friend up in your neck of the woods is considering clearing everything out of his studio so it doesn't get soaked. We even have 3 more days of rain in our forecast here in the desert. I got back from San Diego at 9:30 pm with my precious cargo. White knuckled it a couple times, outside of Temecula and Hemet.
  12. 1. What book(s) are you currently reading? Empress Orchid, By Anchee Min 2. What’s the last book you started to read but didn't finish? Intrepid, by Mark Shepherd. I'll get back to it, I just put it down to read War of Art(sic), and then someone lent me Empress Orchid. 3. Do you ever give a book as a gift? Occaisionally. 4. You decide to give your friend a book store gift certificate for a gift: which store are you most likely to choose? Borders or Barnes and Noble, so they can order online if they wish. 5. Take this quiz: Are You a Hardcover Book or a Paperback Book? You Are an Ebook You are ultra modern and cutting edge. You don't want to have to wait for anything if you don't have to. You love technology, and you always are up for trying out the latest and greatest gadget. Your tastes tend to fall outside the mainstream. You often can't find what you're looking for at a regular store. You aren't the most patient person in the world. If you see something you want, you've got to have it as soon as possible! Whatever. I am an 'ebook' because I live too far from big bookstores and antiquariams to ever shop at there. I mostly get my books online, and there are some really great independent online booksellers like Alibris. My local library is a joke. If I really want to get a book from there, I always end up ordering it and getting on a waiting list, because they never have what I want. If it isn't a romance novel or on the latest bestseller list, they probably don't have it. 6. For your own personal library, which would do prefer? All books be hardcover or all paperback? I doesn't matter, except paperbacks fall apart because of the climate where I live.
  13. I have to pick Brad up at the airport in San Diego this afternoon. It's a 3 hour drive down there and stormy today, so wish me a safe drive everybody!
  14. It isn't youtube, so I don't think I can embed it, so just click on the link, and imagine what the first Christmas would have been like in the digital age! http://tv.repubblica.it/copertina/la-nativita-nell-era-digitale/58407?video
  15. My feeling is that religion is a man made construct, and you can be spiritual without having religion, and ironically, even have religion without spirituality. I am spiritual, and even base it on the Christian beliefs I was raised with, because it is how I identify. But religion, as in going to a building to worship or dogma? Nah. But if organized religion defines some others' spirituality, I am fine with that too.
  16. I agree wholeheartedly, Ref. Blasphemy ftw.
  17. 1. Where you live, will you be having a white Christmas? It happens once in awhile, it is much more likely in NE, where I will be on Xmas Day. 2. Best present you could receive this season? Bradley's finally coming home Sunday, and I will be going back to see my family for a week on Tuesday. 3. Egg nog - regular or spiked with alcohol? Spiked! 4. Tell the truth, do you like fruitcake? Spiked! Yep. There is good fruitcake out there. There is a brand called Gramma's I think, hat's really good. 5. Name your 3 favorite holiday songs? Ode to Joy (Xmas version) Greensleeves (Xmas version "What Child is This") ad it's variant: I Saw 3 Ships I like traditional songs, especially those based on classical music.
  18. Religion? Not important at all.
  19. Glad you got it taken care of Andrea. I have a chronic cough, and the doctor asked if I had asthma. I said I didn't know. And he never mentioned it again. And I still have a chronic cough. Not enough health insurance to have it looked into now, though.
