As many of you may remember last year I participated in the City of Hope event, Hike 4 Hope. It was a very rewarding experience for me and I have signed up for it again this year. It happens to fall on my mother's birthday, March 6th, so her and I were will be doing it together as her birthday present, I cannot think of a better way to spend her day.
As with many it is a cause dear to my heart. I know this hike is geared towards woman cancer research, but I have had many family members and friends effected by this horrible disease. My grandfather passed away of brain cancer, his brother of lung cancer, my great-grandmother of breast cancer, a few aunts on both my father's and mother's side, and have had a close family friend recently overcame colon cancer. Sadly this is just to name a few I know who have been effected. I have dedicated my hike this year to Sue Kent as she is the most recent victim in my family to cancer. But I am doing it for all my family and friends who are/have been effected.
I hope you all can help me out by donating to my personal fundraising page for the hike. Remember, anything helps!

I hate that I have to return to "real life" next week.

I love California winter weather.

^It better be nice weather for me when I get back to Long Beach so I can go down to the beach!
I really shouldn't be allowed to have caramel frappuccino's.

Awesome pictures, Lotta!
I had so much fun at this show, and I loved all the new songs that they played. Jason sure was looking spiffy in that suit! As always they blew my mind, simply amazing. It was so nice to see everyone, even if just for a moment and meet some new faces too. I didn't take any pictures, I'm just going to steal everyone elses. lol. Again, I had a fantastic time. Thanks Knobs, and of course thanks to Linda!

^Wow, that's great! What is that from??

If I had to give up my car it would be VERY difficult, but not impossible.

Like 5 years ago or so. I had heat stroke and passed out at a track meet.
-
^Well suck it up! I like this warm weather.
-
I'm going to have a great time celebrating it with her! lol.
Happy Birthday, Steph!!!!! Can't wait to see you. :003:

I forgot about Quantum Leap, Beyond Belief, and Seinfeld.

My favorite is Swingin' with Lonesome Sundown a close second. MC's slide work on the latter is just amazing.
Ditto! I really love all the songs on the album though, one of my favorites.

I frequently watch House marathons. I'm sure there are other shows too but I can't think of them right now.
-
It's funny how the friends you thought would stick around don't and the ones you didn't expect to do.

Well looks like I bought a phone 6 months too early...lol...glad it's going to be on Verizon now!
-
I completely agree with Nel as well!
-
I wonder if I made the right decision.

Today I learned that the animal shelter near my school needs volunteers to walk the dogs. I think I'll try to do that.
-
I should have known two days in a row of hiking would make my knee hurt.
-
I confess that I don't really want to go to my sisters.

I love hiking so much. Too bad I have to go back to school soon where there aren't mountains near by.

30-45, depending on what I'm doing that day. Sometimes quicker, sometimes longer.
