  1. My browser crashes every time I try and view the rock video of the day thread here.
  2. Neither would I, but others do. I'm from the old days when concert tickets were $5. When they went up to $20, I thought that was too much. Those days are long gone. I think the cost of concert tickets today is outrageous.
  3. That's not bad. I've known people to pay from $2,000 to almost $4,000.00 for a first row ticket to a band concert.
  4. What did a front row ticket cost to one of these concerts?
  5. Glad I was able to watch it. It gave me, as videos like this usually do, a whole new appreciation and respect for musicians. The thought did cross my mind yesterday to download and save it to my TP thumb-drive, but I didn't do it.
  6. That was nice of him to acknowledge that it was your money that allowed him to buy all of his guitars (especially that 1959 Les Paul). His home is beautiful. Love that park-like setting, and I love his animals.
  7. Which concert is that at 21:56?
  8. I was referring to what song. I really should learn how to post better.
  9. Thank you. I love it. I'll check the song out.
  10. Does anyone here know what he is strumming at 8:08?
  11. Dan, thanks from me too. This is extraordinary. I just love this man's playing. He seems so genuine and nice too.
  12. Tom's home is for sale. It's gorgeous. http://www.townandcountrymag.com/leisure/real-estate/g13446130/tom-petty-house/ "For $5.895 million, it could be yours"

Yay is right! I'm glad to hear he is doing so well. And good for you that he can drive again in 3 weeks.
  14. I love that interview too. Gave me a good laugh. But do you know what impressed me the most about it? When Tom asked where his wife was. I thought that he must really love her. A few months ago I read elsewhere on the internet a post from someone who had become disillusioned with so many famous people and the person asked if there was no one genuinely nice in the industry. One of the few mentioned by someone who purported to be "in the know" was Tom Petty.
  15. This is a good one too. I wish they had this tour on dvd.
  16. I read that he said he said he didn't want to disappoint his fans. I was just watching videos from the LA concert. He was really limping bad and seemed to hold the left side of his body funny. Looked as if he was holding one side of his body rigid. Do you know why he wore sunglasses on stage? Were the lights too bright for him? I'm wondering if certain drugs make eyes light sensitive? Other than his music, I don't know a lot about him or the band. So, if I ask stupid questions that most fans would know the answers to, that's the reason.
  17. Just want to say that you must have all meant a lot to Tom for him to have sacrificed himself just so he wouldn't disappoint his fans. It was a selfless act.
  18. Sorry. I meant to just post Running Down A Dream. Forgot I had the entire concert up.
  19. If anyone wants, please post a video (or videos) of what you think is Mike's best performance. I'd love to watch them
  20. You're so right. When he plays that guitar, those strings wrap themselves around my heart. Honestly, the man's guitar playing saved my sanity. He gave me hope when I had none. I'll always be grateful to him for that. It's one thing to be able to play a guitar well; it's another to be able to play it from the heart. That's what Mike does. He plays from the heart
