  1. Want to preface it by saying right off the bat that I'm not trying to get personal when it comes to him, but there is something that I can't help but wonder. Did he ever say why he started taking heroin? I've never taken the drug but, from what I've read, it always sounded to me like a drug that wouldn't allow much other than sitting around nodding out. How could someone perform on-stage under the influence of the drug without messing up? I remember watching Jimmy Page playing and wondering how he could function on stage being a heroin addict. Watching videos of TPATH from the 1990's, I found myself wondering the same about him, and Howie too.

Thanks for posting this. I probably would never have watched it, if I found it at all, if you hadn't. I can't help but still feel really bad when I watch him. If I feel so bad, I can't imagine how you and other TPATH fans feel.

This has a really good sound.
  4. Tom was featured in the Sunday Parade magazine. Said they grossed around a million each show during last tour.
  5. I don't have the luxury of time to do that. It took me three days just to watch the TPATH doc. Oh what I wouldn't give many times for my younger and care-free days.

Thank you very much. I appreciate it. I downloaded it. Now, I am going to test it out.
  8. That describes Stan's playing for me. He has a very relaxed and seemingly effortless way of playing the drums. It really is a pity he left, but I guess by that point in time he realized there were more important things to him in life than the band. Personally, I don't know how anyone could walk away from that, but he did. It must not be all we think it is.
  9. Shelter, you can't see that video? It worked fine for me.

Reposting my question in case you didn't see it. I want to download the program but I don't know which one of the above to choose because I have no idea what they are talking about.
  11. Wow. That was really something. The clarity of the instruments I just loved. Heard things Mike did with his guitar that I never noticed before, especially at the very beginning. Grabs the heart right from the start. Love the ending too. And everything in between.

BCP = Before Cell Phones It wasn't easy to do this before cell phones, and I'm always grateful to anyone and everyone who preserved these concerts for us so we could enjoy them decades later. And he does A Face In The Crowd too. I love that song.

Thanks. I was going to download that, but I didn't know what the difference is between "MD5" and "SHA1". Can you tell me which one I should choose?

I was using KeepVid which I liked very much but I went there one day and they directed us to other places. Next, I downloaded 4KVideo, but I don't care for it. I want a program where I can save downloaded videos on my desktop.

Thank you. I already have a program to download videos, but am not satisfied with it and was looking to find another, so I am very grateful to you for providing me with links. I have no idea what "command-line applications" are. When it comes to tech stuff, savvy I am not. Know just the bare rudiments.
  16. I thought it was very funny. Tom had quite the dry sense of humor. I loved it.

You are very kind to do this. Thank you. I have a thumb-drive just for Tom. It still has plenty of storage on it. That is where these will go.
  18. Kids, don't look at this when drunk.
  19. Sad watching vids from the 2018 RRHOF. Where have all the years gone? They've passed so quickly. Ric Ocasek talks his lines more than sings (i.e. Moving In Stereo). The Moodies have seen much much better days. Richie Sambora is a sad case. So is Jon in a different way.
  20. Maybe my post wasn't clear enough as to what I meant. It wouldn't be the first time. What I meant when I asked if it was a grand time in Tom's life, it was because, from what I've seen (and compared to many of you here, that's very limited), he wasn't usually so energetic on stage. He really got into playing his guitar during that version of the song and seemed to move around more than usual. So I thought that if things were going particularly well for him at that point in his life, it would account for his energy on-stage. You are very, very fortunate to have gotten one of the DVDs signed by him. I still can't get over that he's dead. It seems like forever, and it's only been seven months.
  21. That girl's voice at the beginning scared me. I just love his smile. Poor Howie. And I still don't understand why Stan left. One more thing. The nineties did Tom in I think. He was never the same after that physically. I hate drugs. Which guitar is mike playing during this?
  22. If I could give you a 1,000 "Likes" for this, I would. If I had been in the audience during this, they would have had to call EMT I think. Did you catch this tour? Had you not told me about this version, I would have come across by chance, if at all. Do you happen to know any background info about this tour? Was it a particularly grand time in Tom's life? I ask because, while it's true I'm no expert on him, from what I do know and have seen, he is rarely so energetic on stage as he was during this. From my heart, I thank you for posting this.
  23. Thanks for this thread. That's one of my top favorite Tom songs. Can you post at least links to your favorite version of it? I always love to explore their live performances.
