  1. I really don't need to lose any. What extra I thought I had disappeared during the 2+ months my dad was in a rehab facility for a broken shoulder. Hubby and I got to live alone for the first time ever, and the first time since we got married in 2007, and we hardly bought (or ate) any food, since Dad's the big eater in the family.

I really do need to exercise, though, more for anxiety control and overall health, but I have the worst time getting into it.

  2. 1. How many scars do you have on your body? Knees from being a kid, hands from work, a very minor neck surgery, feet from plantar warts, chicken pox, and do stretch marks count? A LOT

    2. Name the last junk food you ate a little too much of, that you actually felt guilty afterwards? I overindulge in Rice Krispies treats!

    3. Where is the closest spot to your home where you go when you feel like you need to escape? I escape almost every day on the way home from work - I take the back way so I can take my time and listen to music in the car.

    4. Of all the movies you have, what movie have you watched the most times? Of the ones I have? Twilight, but every time I find a movie I love, I watch it over and over and over.

    5. Have you ever felt discriminated against? Definitely

    6. Have you ever had to hire an attorney? No, never HAD to, but maybe should have a few times.

  3. Pay off our remaining two credit cards, then put the rest to the home equity credit line, then continue to pay into that until Summer, when I'd use what's available for a big chunk of the new car I'm going to buy.

We're actually owed more than that right now, so I know exactly where it's going!

  4. 1. Do you have any special plans for Christmas? Christmas Eve has become more important, since Dad and brother Jeff's birthdays are that day, and Hubby's is the 22nd. Usually Jeff's family comes over, and I make a cake, and the birthday boys take turns blowing out the candles. Jeff usually guides what we're doing for both days, and he's not telling us till the Sunday before.

    2. Will you be traveling? To work Christmas night. Since I'm first shift, we're always off the night before, which works great on New Year's, but not so much for July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, but Christmas Eve is more important anyway, as stated above.

    3. What is the worst thing about this time of year? I'm a mail processor in a U.S. Postal Service factory. They closed another facility, and we're doing that mail, as well as our own, with too few people, and this month is horrendous. I can't wait for Christmas to get here. This is my 23rd year (December 1987) in the USPS, and by far the worst.

    4. Do you have any favorite holiday traditions? I do love looking at lights, but we don't always drive around. My real tradition is being incredibly stressed until Christmas Day, when I'm ecstatically happy that the torture's over for another year.

    5. Do you have your Christmas tree up yet? If not, will you have a tree up this year? We put up our largest tree ever last year, a 15-year old 7-footer that Hubby brought with him when his house sold, and we had no furniture in the living room. It's since been donated to charity, and either Sunday or Monday (my weekend), I'm planning to put up a 3-footer a friend from work gave me. I don't know if we're doing anything outside, unless it warms up. At the very least, we'll put green bulbs in the front porch and walkway lights!

  5. Thanksgiving dinner at my brother's house. They didn't cook, but ordered food to be picked up, so I guess they couldn't make the order smaller. We'd made plans for hubby, Dad and I to come up earlier in the month, but Dad ended up in the hospital. He came home two days before Thanksgiving, but was still sick, so I told Jeff we couldn't come. He wanted hubby and me to come anyway, but I said absolutely not. We both had to work that night, anyway, and didn't want to leave Dad alone any more than absolutely necessary. Jeff brought some leftovers by on Friday, but I think it pissed him off, not that I care. Dad's more important than whatever money you spent on dinner.

  6. ^So sad, Linda.

TIL a way around the Christmas card issue. My brother usually takes a pic of the 3 of us (Dad, Hubby, and me) for our photo card, and it hadn't happened yet, due to Dad being ill. I found a card with spaces for three pics, but individual ones of us didn't work due to low resolution. But our three cats' (Purr, Tigger and Halo) pics worked perfectly!:031:

  7. I voted 'Other'.

I had one once, if I remember correctly, and a friend and I tried to use it, but you have to be almost reverent towards it (O great Ouija), and we ended up making fun of it, so of course it never worked. I'd really have to get past that barrier, and I don't know if I could.
