    1) Going to a big party or stay at home? I'm a home girl. I've never gone to a New Year's Party.

    2) Will you be staying up late to watch the ball drop in Times Square? I always stay up late, but I doubt I'll have the TV on.

    3) Will you make any New Year's resolutions? No, but I always like the idea of a new beginning.

    4) Who do you think would make a good host for a Rockin' Out New Year's Eve? No idea.

    5) Do you know the words to Auld Lang Syne? Just the chorus.

    1. List five happy memories of 2010:

    Hubby finding his wedding ring

    Money received from a cancelled life insurance policy

    Finally meeting hubby's half sister and her family and really liking them all

    A new cute guy at work, just to make life more interesting;)

    Just driving around listening to music

    2. Describe four things you've learned this year:

    That a General Power of Attorney doesn't include healthcare

    That I can't wear shorts to work, anymore. (Actually got sent home!)

    That most of hubby's family only calls when they need money.

    How to check Dad's blood sugar and give him insulin shots.

    3. Which three relationships in your life have changed the most this year?

    Dad's finally respecting me

    My brother thinks all Dad's health problems are no big deal, but he doesn't have to deal with them

    Hubby's 'rich' brother is broke and needed to borrow money

    4. Name two new places you went this year:

    We were all over Atlanta visiting hubby's family

    I actually shopped at a store (Coldwater Creek) that I've been meaning to for a few years, now. Very nice, but not cheap.

    5. What one thing that you have done this year are you most proud of? Finally furnishing the living room after two years! It looks lovely.

    COLD ham, stringbeans, mashed potatoes.

    Dad had meatloaf

    Ice cream birthday cake for dessert. Dad had sugarfree apple pie.

    I preferred the cheese and cracker snacks, actually, over everything else. I don't get the cold ham bit; it always shocks me that it's cold. We didn't grow up that way; cold ham was for sandwiches.

    We did have a nice time at my brother's, but he has no consideration for the fact that hubby and I both had to work last night. He wanted us there at 2 p.m., and we basically had to go from there straight to work, hubby for 8:30, and me at 10. I was uncomfortably full, and we were both exhausted. It was a very rough night. We couldn't come up for Thanksgiving, so felt obligated, and I swear he was punishing us!

    1. Did you put up a Christmas tree this year? No; never got around to it. Barely got the cards out. Not my best Christmas season ever.

    2. Which do you prefer? Real or artificial tree? We've always used artificial; Dad was always afraid of a fire, but I'd like to try a little live tree at least once.

    3. When you drove around this year, what did you like or dislike about other people’s Christmas decorations? I don't really like those giant inflatable decorations. The weather this month was really crappy, so only the diehards decorated.

    4. How much did you pay attention to the messages on Christmas decorations in the stores this year? I'm rarely in stores, especially around now, and don't pay attention.

    5. Your favorite store put up Christmas decorations, but the message only says, “Happy Holidays.” Are you offended or disappointed? I barely notice, and don't care.

    6. When you need a gift for someone, but can't think of what to get them, what gift card would you buy them? A mall card.
