Too Good To Be True
-
All or Nothin'
-
I'm thankful that I'm finally feeling better, and will go to my friend's mother's wake shortly.
-
It's funny. I always thought 'Stuck In The Middle With You' was Dylan, or at least a Dylan song, and now I find out the same guy did 'Baker Street'. I never made the connection.
So sorry to hear this.

I can't wait for my new car!
But . . . I have to.:085:

My Life/Your World
-
My second day of this on-off left side headache. I guess I'm going to have to use ice, and I hate ice, but I'm pilled out. Don't feel like doing anything.:095:
No word on the new car, but I'm pretty adamant about the color I want, so I'm expecting a wait, but it doesn't make it any easier. Getting the car would probably cure the headache!

-
I wonder when the dealer will call to say my new car is in.
I wonder how many things Hubby will find wrong with it when we go to check it out.

I wonder if the car call and the wake will be at the same time. These are not two memories I want to associate with each other forever.
I wonder who I'm working with tonight.:119:

Spike. The best version of it is a live B-side single to Don't Come Around Here No More. He barks, and howls, and curses!:icon_twisted:

I hate that I'm having trouble shaking this headache.
I also hate that I don't know when her mother's wake is. She told me where, but not when, and the obituary is not yet in the paper, and I don't want to call her back for that. I hope we don't miss it.
-
Well, it wasn't embarrassing, but my mother definitely didn't want me to grow up, and I was not pleased to receive a paddle ball for my 22nd birthday.

The only decorating we did was the green bulbs outside on the porch and walkway lights. My family is part Russian, and Russian Christmas is the 7th (so I've been told for years), so they'll be up until then, or until they burn out. We did get Christmas cards, and I usually display them up until then, as well, but I got rid of them almost immediately, save for an unexpected card from Hubby's mom. We've been together eight years, and this is the first time she's sent us a card. She's not bitter, just absent-minded, so it's very special to us.

A Woman In Love (It's Not Me). What a killer. That's what really started it all for me. I'd heard a few of their songs before, but after that came on the radio, I had to have that album. Completely changed my life at 14.
-
Probably just have them drive to a secluded beach somewhere down the shore, and 'park'. Hubby and I just really need to be alone. Put up the privacy screen, or take a hike, driver!

I love what fog does to snow - makes it evaporate faster than anything else!
-
Very foggy this morning on the way home from work, which was great 'cause snow just evaporates in fog! Approaching 50 now, and cloudy, with a little rain scheduled for later. This time last week, we were having a blizzard that led to over 2 feet of snow, and now it's almost all gone! Jersey weather is the nuts.

1. For 2011, are you hoping to lose weight, gain weight or stay the same weight? Mostly stay the same, though I do need to exercise for the health and anxiety benefits.
2. Are you still worried about possible terror attacks? Not really. What will be will be.
3. Name the last performer you heard sing on television? Be truthful, did you sing along? It was probably a commercial for some 'classic rock' compilation set, and, no.

Found some old pics to show a new friend at work. My ex still works there, and we had a baby we gave up for adoption almost exactly 21 years ago. The ex actually introduced me to Hubby after we had both told him we liked each other. The new friend just can't picture my ex and me together, but I told her he used to be really cute, and I have the pics to prove it!:007:
Go to work, but the above ought to make it a lot more interesting!
Plus, it's only for one night, and then it's my weekend! -
Depends.

Kind of. Early migraine, and then I slept from 11 p.m. thru 7 a.m. Very restful. Except for a dream I had about Oprah Winfrey. She was launching her network, with a gathering in this huge auditorium, and she went down into the audience to visit with Stedman(sp?), and he was there with another woman! She threw them out, literally escorting them out, and then went back to her suite. I remember thinking that this woman literally has everything in the world, but true love. Very bizarre.

Happy New Year!

Very nice, Beth! I've been waiting for a pic ever since you said you were going to make one.

Specific to this particular Thursday, I'm thankful I was finally able to get out of the house (we've been basically snowed in), get my current car up to the dealer for an estimate, and buy a new car, which should come in right in time for my current car to get into the shop. Once that comes back, hubby's car goes into the shop to get prettied up for his daughter.
Once that comes back, she gets his car, he keeps my car, and the three car merry-go-round comes to an end. Bliss!:spin2:

I actually broke something my husband was not able to fix. My Damn The Torpedoes CD kept skipping. Hubby tried three times to fix it with a repair kit that has worked on other CDs and DVDs, but every time I put it in the player it still skipped. I got so mad, I broke it in half. And then I bought the Deluxe Edition version.:003:
