^^Funny, I always thought my ex was the real dog! But, that's probably an insult to dogs.

^That's my worst nightmare: Spending 8 hours with a hundred strangers waiting to get picked to decide someone's fate. It's an 8-hour anxiety attack for me. I've toughed it out a few times, to try and do the 'right' thing, and almost got picked once, but I can't do it, anymore. I get a doctor's note to excuse me. Can you do that?

Imitrex is another wonder drug, but I prefer Zomig more.I've taken both (have had a lot of samples in my day), as well as Maxalt, and all work about equally for me, but the doctors always prescribe the sumatriptan. I took 25mg. ever since it came out, but have needed 50 for the last few years. Tolerance, I guess.

I should have known that 'enhanced' cottage cheese would f up my system. I didn't think twice about eating it, because I eat the regular stuff all the time. Ick.
-
TIL I cannot eat digestive-enzyme enhanced Breakstone cottage cheese, but I didn't learn why they needed to enhance it in the first place!

Doesn't really matter to me, but I do like having the bed to myself sometimes. Hubby and I have really strange sleeping schedules because of the night shift we're both on. Sometimes we seem to take turns, like right now, he's sleeping and I'm up.

I Should Have Known It. Blues isn't my favorite genre, so it's taking me forever to get into this album, but that was a standout from the start.

1. How did you feel yesterday? First I had a migraine, then I was a happy camper, then I ate some digestive-enzyme enhanced cottage cheese at work, and was nauseous for the next 6 hours.
2. What kind of obstacles do you face this upcoming week? Various car dilemmas, health insurance problems, and my own self.
3. In your opinion, what is a good friend? We may not get together often, but when we do, it's like we've never been apart.
4. What is your fondest memory of a childhood friendship? Being backup singers to Elton John's Captain Fantastic album.
5. Does time always kill pain? I'm not sure it kills the big ones, but it definitely can put things in perspective.

TIL my new car's coming! My dealer Ronnie called with the VIN to give to my insurance company.

Very cold for Jersey. Lows tonight in the teens, but at least the winds'll only be about 7 mph.
-
I wonder where his car was. Either he parked it somewhere else, or he had another car, possibly his wife's, but I wasn't in the mood to drive around the parking lot trying to find out of state plates. Crushes are fun, aren't they?

I'm extremely thankful for my migraine medication, sumatriptan, a generic form of Imitrex.
I'm also thankful that they finally found MY new car after two weeks. I was very specific about what I wanted, so it took some time.
After two more nights of work with hopefully, my regular partner, I'll have a 3-day weekend!:029:

I can't wait until Saturday, when I should be able to get to meet my new car in person! If all goes well, should be picking it up early next week!

I've been known to hit and throw things in an extreme case(I just had one of those a few days ago). Mostly, I vent to other people, especially at work, where I vent to friends who are going through the exact same things. My father and husband hear a lot of it, especially if they're partly to blame.
-
I voted for You and Me, the underdog of my top three. It's a more realistic, less romantic couple's song, and could be applied to a lot of different kinds of relationships. "I can't save you from yourself," is a giant lesson learned, here.

I love that I got a letter saying that the loan is paid off. It was a payroll-deduction loan, so my checks will be almost 300 big ones larger!

Andrea, if you aren't interested in having children, look into an endometrial ablation. Best thing I ever did!! As a matter of fact, my GP said she thinks every woman should have one, whether they are having problems or not.You just reminded me; I was supposed to get one at the beginning of last year, but something fell through on the gyno's end. I'm overdue for my yearly; I keep getting my period when I'm scheduled, so am having the worst time getting back there. I'll remind them about it when I finally see them. Thank you!

TIL - the exhibitionist? Do tell!
The exhibitionist is my first post-marital crush. He started it, though. His office closed down last year and he showed up at ours, and he wasn't shy about giving me the eye. I got sent home one day for wearing shorts, and he and my husband were outside smoking, and Hubby was like, 'yeah, my old lady got sent home,' and the guy was like, 'THAT's your WIFE?', so he kinda avoids me now (as well as hubby)! But I've since started working with a girl that he talks to (he's not her type), and we've been getting along really well, and talking, and he showed her a picture or something, and she was REALLY impressed!
Hubby's mildly amused; he asked if it was a photo enLARGEment! lol! -
I wonder what it will feel like when that baby is launched. This could be really funny if I didn't know it was about a rocket!:003:

I wonder if I am going to be able to get out of my driveway so I can go to work later today.Funny (no, not really), I had to shovel out my driveway so I could get IN it after working all night. I left work 6:30 a.m., and was able to park my car at 9:30.

I confess, I've been addicted to Zuma lately. I get in cycles like that once in a while when I've been majorly stressed; I'll play a certain computer game over and over. Well, it's Zuma's turn!Well, I confess I can't play Zuma anymore. My right arm has been aching badly lately (it even woke me up a couple times), and I just KNOW that's the reason.:095:

I gave into my extreme frustration over mountains of paperwork by throwing a fit and slapping some cabinets until my hands were red (it sounds ridiculous, but better than punching them, breaking my hand like someone we all know and love, and generating MORE paperwork!). When my hubby tried to placate me over making a big deal out of nothing (a lot of the paperwork is his and my father's), I literally screamed at him, because if it was nothing, he could easily do it himself. Then he surprised me by needing a hug. I'm the hugger in the family. That definitely helped a little, but I'm still pretty riled, and will probably stay that way for awhile, so bear with me.

Paperwork. I despise it.:067:

Actually, I was there this very morning, to help Hubby get released. The MDO at work paged him three times while he was in the bathroom, then threw him out of the building after clocking him out. He slipped on ice in the parking lot, and messed up his left elbow. The MDO had a supervisor take Hubby to the ER. He was a bloody mess, but nothing was broken, but blood tests showed alcohol poisoning, and Hubby hadn't drunk since the afternoon! He has a liver condition, so maybe that's the reason. He fell at 2:30 a.m., and I didn't find out what happened until almost 5. I was furious, to say the least. I don't care if we work in different sections, we have the same MDO hovering over us, and he IS my husband! The supervisor who took him to the ER wouldn't bring him back to the building; they didn't expect a good blood test before 10 a.m. I got out of work at 6:30, and went to get him after about an hour; of course I got lost. We were home by about 9:30. God, I hate where we work. It's so f'ed up on so many levels.
