New thread to talk about things that excite us. I got tickets to see My Morning Jacket/Band of Horses at Red Rocks in August. I've been to Red Rocks, but I've never seen a show there. I'm going with my aunt for four nights and we are going to visit my great aunt and her daughters while we are in town. Hopefully we'll do some hiking and other fun stuff, too. I'm excited!!

I had 5th row on the left, but our seats were in the middle of the section. I would have preferred on the aisle or in the center section (and closer, of course). We were directly in front of Ben's piano, which was a great spot for Mike's solos. But I didn't get a full view of the stage and had to look around heads to see Ron and Scott. I'll post a picture of the sweatshirt tonight if someone doesn't get to it first.

I wasn't super excited about my seats in Austin, but they weren't bad. I do like to know what I'm buying. I loved all the swag we got. It also came with a really nice sweatshirt. The poster is really thick and it's numbered.

I love that picture of Angie, too. Thanks for sharing here, Chuck. And again, it was so nice to meet you and Wendy! We had a nice crowd for this meet up. About half were new to me. I'm always happy to grow my circle of TPATH friends.

^Thanks for the reminder! I received an iTunes gift card this weekend, so that's what I got. Plus this. This guy is the real deal for sure. I predict you will be hearing a lot more about him in the future. I finally got to see him live in New Orleans at House of Blues, and he is truly amazing. The following day he had half the crowd in the Blues Tent at Jazz Fest standing on their feet cheering after every song (and that was a very big crowd).

I used to buy Uncut and Mojo when I was traveling to the UK. I think they exceed any American music magazines by far. I sure miss them, especially now! I hope I can find a copy.

Yeah, Tom looks and sounds great! I love the set lists this tour. I wish I could have heard Best of Everything. I'm glad I got to hear Saving Grace in Austin, I love that song. I know people at the officials were talking about Tom's shaking a few years back, but I never noticed it until I watched the Jazz Fest videos. It's strange how it doesn't affect his playing.

I loved that video, Beth! Thank you. And I know you will have the best time tomorrow!!! I can't wait to hear about it.
