I would assume it has something to do with personal freedoms. And I think states that have passed laws against phone use while driving do not show a decrease in accidents, even though studies show their use increases the risk of accidents. I guess those drivers will do other distracting things, even if not on their phones. I still believe all cell phone use while driving should be banned. For those that believe hands free phone use is safer, studies have not proved this out. From an online article: "Another NTSB board member, Robert Sumwalt, said that distracted driving had risen to "epidemic" levels, and cited a recent study that concluded both hand-held and hands-free mobile usage increases the chance of a crash by a factor of four."

I said both. While texting is more dangerous, studies show that drivers using a phone have similar reaction times to drunk drivers. Both are fireable offenses at my company if you are found doing either while on company business.

I have a vacation planned in less than 5 weeks, I'm turning 50 next month (during vacation), and I hope to continue training during the sweltering summer heat so I can ride in an MS150 in the fall. We'll see how that last one goes!! Other than that, it's business as usual.

Barbie, i know how that feels. Around the same age as before, I dreamed I was part of Gomer Pile, not like it was a tv show, but a real place. I was soooo disappointed when I woke up from that dream, lol.

When I was four or five I dreamed I was in a fire in a fireworks stand. I could see my face in the fire and I was crying. Sounds horrible, but it always makes me laugh. My face was as big as the fireworks stand and it was sort of floating round. It was like something you'd see on a bad tv drama. I can't imagine why I dreamed that at that age.

I never have enough time to visit friends and family.

Oh, that's going to be great. I saw one made with t-shirts from all the different charity bike rides someone did. It was really nice. I've always wanted one since then...a great way to use t-shirts you'll probably never wear.
