  1. Not me. I prefer certain products and hotels don't normally have those. Like Susan, I never used them when I did take them!!
  2. Thanks, Marion, great idea. I'm Liz, I live in Houston and I'm a fierce Texan. I love live music and try to go to as many concerts and festivals as humanly possible. TPATH has been my favorite band since 1980, but you'll hear me babbling more about new bands I discover and love. My other big hobby is long distance bicycling. Unfortunately, I do have to work, and I'm an IT manager for an oil major.
  3. Bali has been a dream of mine for several years. Besides the natural beauty and luxurious resorts, I'm fascinated by the culture.
  4. Well, I'd take any of them for a number of reasons! But my first choice would be RAH, my favorite band and favorite venue together. I cried buckets of tears when I couldn't work out a trip to that show for my 50th birthday (and now there are two, grrrr).
  5. That, and he's been a workout/healthy eating fanatic for years. That show was just hilarious! I cried at the end when they gave Kristen Wiig her send off. I love her.
  6. I recorded it and just watched. LOLOLOLOL! Loved him in that karaoke skit!!
  7. TIL there is a basketball player named Metta World Peace. Obviously not his original name. This guy has been in many fights and even was arrested for domestic violence.
  8. I don't need any lights, I think I'm part cat.
  9. Looks like one...the middle finger. Haha, j/k, I know you wouldn't flip me off, only Chinner does that.
  10. At the DMV. Ugh. Hope I pass the vision test.
  11. I love Jack White's version of Little Willie John's "I'm Shaking'" on his new solo album, Blunderbuss. It's a great song and Jack does a great job covering it. So sexy!!
  12. Those pictures are fabulous, Beth! There are a couple, at least, you should frame. Girrafes are such beautiful creatures. How fun that you got to visit and interact with them. So sweet. Thank you so much for sharing all these wonderful photos and memories from Africa with us, Beth. you!
  13. I love the Buried Treasure theme song! I wouldn't mind hearing it live at all. And if it meant they'd be playing deep tracks, well hell yes, I'd like it.
  14. I became an F1 fan this weekend, and I fell hard! Thanks to Emmie's excitement about the sport overall and Fernando Alonso in particular (who is beautiful, btw, Barbie), I recorded the race in Spain. It was soooooo exciting! When I saw it would be two hours I thought ugh, but the time just flew. It's amazing the precision they must exhibit in every little task in order to win. 2 extra seconds in a pit stop can mean you lose the race. The best tire change time last weekend was 3.5 seconds! It was amazing to watch how all the different teams performed that one task. They are building a race track in Austin and there will be an official F1 race in November. I hope to go. Ha ha, sorry to go on and on, I told you I fell hard.
  15. Wow, can I pick a best? I must list a few. Probably my favorite was Ray Davies at Royal Albert Hall. 99% was the venue and the other 99% was seeing Ray Davies. It was such a high. Next would be TPATH at the Summit in 1983, even though my seats were crappy. I was just so happy to be there. Seeing Buffalo Springfield at Bonnaroo last year was so amazingly great! Finally, Ryan Adams in Houston in 2006. I went in mildly interested in the band and I left a changed person. I've been in love with RA and the rest of The Cardinals ever since! Usually, I always say the last concert I went to was the best. I'm a live music junkie!
  16. Outdoors, in spite of my allergies and fair skin.
  17. I said no, because I don't eat fast food. But once every two or three years (yes, I mean years) I like to get a cherry limeade at Sonic. So technically I should have said yes.
  18. ^Is that what the secret present is for? Ooh, maybe you can't even say! I forgot to mention an exciting trip to Denver to see My Morning Jacket co-headline with Band of Horses (and Trombone Shorty opening) at Red Rocks. Going with my aunt, and we will also visit my great aunt and second cousins. I can't wait for this trip!
  19. Thanks, Marion!! I can say this was a fantastic show throughout! But I might be a little bit biased, lol.
  20. No for me and my husband. He lost an uncle who was run over by an 18 wheeler on one, and so has never ridden. My dad had one briefly when I was 10, I loved riding on the back of it. Last year Lil Red's boyfriend took me on the back of his when we all went to breakfast when I was there for Bonnaroo. It was so fun and I felt very safe. It was all quiet roads and no traffic on a Sunday morning.
  21. BTW, the Texas legislature passed a law banning texting while driving, and our notorious Govenor Perry (who was campaigning for president at the time) vetoed the law. Perry called the distracted driving legislation a “government effort to micromanage the behavior of adults.” Grrrrr!
