200 miles, San Antonio to Houston.

Not planning on it right now. If I weren't already going to a concert at Red Rocks at the beginning of the month, I would.

Not a lot, maybe 10.

1.How many cavities have you got? Not sure, maybe 8? I've had them for many years. 2. How often do you see a dentist? Every 6 months. 3. Do you floss? Everyday. 4. Have you got any false teeth? No. 5. Have you worn or do you wear braces? Yes, I got my front teeth straightened about 15 years ago. 6. Do you have fear of dentists? No, I love my dentist and look forward to seeing him. And my brother is a dentist, too (orthodontist).

Don't run those on my Mac. The need is up for debate, but I'm not at all convinced.

"It is what it is". I always want to respond, "No shit".

Looks like fun, Beth!

Thanks, everyone. Here is a link to my Photobucket album. The pictures are in reverse order (I never have figured out why they load that way). This is pretty much the best 100 culled down from something like 800. More Photos I forgot to mention that one couple on the trip were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary! They are my heroes.

I love at the end when he says he's in love with that guitar. You can really see it in the way he is looking at it. Mike is so interesting and such an easy conversationalist.

Well, I think life is getting back to normal, I finally have some time for the Farm. I had a great birthday vacation and I must say, this was one of the prettiest places I've seen. We took a Backroads multi-sport tour, so we biked, hiked, rafted and kayaked over a large area from Jackson, WY up to Old Faithful and a little beyond. At the end of each day, we were exhausted, but in a good way. The other people on the tour were so wonderful. We all hated to part ways at the end, but now we have a Facebook group so we can stay in touch and share pictures. Here are some of my favorite photos. We started our vacation a day early in Jackson. This cute little guy was in the park. We spent some time wandering, and ended up in the Silver Dollar Saloon, which has over 2000 silver dollars set in the bar. DAY 1 - After a morning white water rafting on the Snake River, we road our bikes to Teton Village, for a night at a luxurious spa hotel...but we didn't have much time or energy to enjoy the luxury! DAY 2 - The next morning, we set out on our bikes again, riding at the base of the Grand Tetons all day. I can't tell you how many times I looked up and thought, "Wow!!" during that ride. It was stunning, and nice to enjoy from a bicycle. We finished up at Jackson Lake Lodge, which has a stunning view of the Tetons from the lobby. We stayed here for two nights. On the first evening, there was a big bear sighting and we all rushed out to take pictures of bear #610 and her cubs eating an elk. There was a huge crowd on the side of the road. At one point, the rangers that were keeping an eye on things lost sight of her in the brush, and we all hurried back to our vehicles! Bears can run 35-40 mph, so you really need to respect them! Day 3 - The view of the Tetons was as beautiful from our breakfast table in the morning as it was in the evening. Today we set out for a full day of hiking. I just love hiking! We crossed Jenny Lake, set up for Inspiration Point and then continued on a few miles into Cascade Canyon, where we got to see an elk napping in the willows on the other side of a creek. It's dirty, but it's snow! There's an elk in there... Day 4 - After another wonderful night at Jackson Lake Lodge, drove to Yellowstone Lake and spent the morning kayaking just off the edge of a geyser basin. The lake was just beautiful. Then we got on our bikes again and rode to Lake Hotel where we stayed for one night. Day 5 - We are starting to get sad because it's the second to the last day of the trip, and we don't want it to end. We've made fast friends with the group and enjoy our time with them. It was another beautiful day of hiking, which was nice, as you really get to visit more than you do on the bike. After packing a delicious lunch (the food on this trip was sooooo good!) and saying goodbye to Lake Yellowstone, we drove to our hiking spot and passed a herd of bison (with babies) along the way. Once there, we set out over some beautiful hills, across a geyser basis that looked like the moon in parts, and over to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. It was beautiful. We hiked several miles around the rim, part of it right on the river and eventually to the upper edge of one of the falls. Some of the thermal features were tiny! Some handsome guys on the drive to Old Faithful Inn Old Faithful Inn is right next to Old Faithful, and you can sit on the deck and watch the eruption every 90 minutes. The Inn was beautiful, but almost creepy. Each piece of wood was hand picked and the lobby was amazing to look at. You can't even get a feel for it, but here is one photo. Day 6 - Our last day! We took a beautiful bike ride through several geyser basins starting right out back of Old Faithful Inn. I could post soooooo many pictures, we saw so much this day. It seemed like every where you looked there was a geyser or a pool or a steam vent. Here are just a few. Morning Glory - so gorgeous The Grotto The edge of the Grand Prismatic - color like I've never seen We finished the trip with a great picnic, packed everything up and then set off for a 4.5 hour drive back to Jackson. I can't believe we covered so much ground in 6 days that it took 4.5 hours to drive it!! Our trip leaders were so knowledgeable and so much fun. I highly recommend Backroads if you are interested in an active vacation. They catered to our every need and it was all so easy! We spent one more day in Jackson, a very lovely town which sits at the base of Snow King, so we spent the morning exploring on top of the mountain and the afternoon down in the town. Finally, these pictures do not do justice to the amount of wildlife we saw...eagles, osprey, moose, deer, elk, grizzly, even a wolf, which is pretty rare! These national parks are beautiful treasures and well worth a trip.

I've downloaded it a couple of times and I'm getting some kind of error when I try to unzip it. I'd like to know if anyone else is successful.

Sheila, I really loved that! I know exactly what you are saying.... -
Probably. We can see some of them from our bedroom window, but I would like to walk closer to get the full view.

Chicken for tacos (not for me, for Brent).

Happy 4th, everyone!

I'm downloading now, I'll let you know what happens. I think the Europeans got some of the best shows we've seen in years! This leg of the tour definitely agreed with the band! That video of Two Men Talking is excellent! I loved seeing Ron solo!

With a Knobs show in late August (hope that happens, too), I guess it will be September/October before they go out again.
-
I don't know if I can go to another show, but I do hope they tour some more in the US!

Tom's eyes in this one melts my heart. Man, he is beautiful. Thank you again, Ira! I agree with Marion, these have to be the best pictures of this band I've ever seen. I am enjoying them SO much!

Beth, your story makes me happy! I'm so glad you had such a fun show in London, and that you shared it with us. -
Yes, I've been to many Texas A&M bonfires, the night before the A&M-UT game.

I don't think I've ever cut grass in my life. Neither of us cuts grass now, we live in a townhouse with landscaping service.
