Patty, I am sorry for you loss and for the difficult time you are experiencing.

1. What are you reading? the novel I am writing is consuming all my reading time (reading for edits) 2. What did you last do that went horribly wrong? Mocked Barf Boy for something when he was pissy from stopping smoking 3. Do you prefer dogs or cats? dogs - it's the unconditional love thang 4. Would you rather live in the city or country? Country all the way 5. Have you ever walked away from someone you considered a friend? Yes! She was abusive. She sent me a 14 - 16 page letter detailing my shortcomings as a friend and a person, and that she was giving me the boot as a friend. She tried to make up later but I decided I had enough of walking around her tantrums.

Hard question. I would be offended but would likely suffer the shame and humilation for a new wardrobe................it would be tough. About two freaking years ago my boss was on my ass about how I dress....dropping hints....bla..bla...bla. Finally, I asked her what she wanted me to wear since she is a fashion queen (heavy sarcasam......a lesbian girlfriend who used to work here says she's a dyke with a husband who doesn't know he's gay either - I'm sure I've just offended someone - so sorry) Anyway......she wants to take me shopping. So she and another co-worker, my mother and I meet at the mall (last time I was in a mall) and shop for clothes for me. It was NOT fun. It sucked big time. In the end it was OK because I learned about Chico's travel line of clothes and now that's what I buy for work........The only cool thing about the whole experience was that it shut her up....for a while........then it was the hair.....and jewlry........................so I have experienced the pain...........and it's not pretty.

Yep, Eric Johnson is a great guitar player. Saw him many times in 80's and 90's but don't get out that much anymore. Yer so right, Lizzie, the Austin music scene is great.

I'm with you Flower, I watched my MTV. I didn't watch any of them.

All good answers. Maybe Plato

Pocohontis - but I'd probably have to learn how to spell my name.

I would probably turn and say "excuse me" to give myself a moment to think. Then maybe ask some questions if they didn't start voluntering information about why they want to use it.

Oh Gina! I hope you had a great day. Looks as if you had some company. Love, Kira

Wouldn't make a dent in what I would really like to do. Maybe fly to Lake Tahoe for a little "heat" break.

1. What is your favorite fruit? strawberries 2. At the end of today, do you think you'll feel spent or refreshed? Today - refreshed - bosses are gone 3. Who is the last person you greeted at your door? I can't even remember. Nobody comes to our house without an invitation and that's been since before vacation 4. What was your last illness? must have been a cold 5. Friday fill-in: Late at night I'm _asleep___.

Nope! I don't have an eye for distinguishing between the junk and good stuff. That's why I love Antique Road Show.

My fave was the Larry McMurtry series of Texas living in Houston. Characters from the different books interacted with each other. Loved his character development. Some were Terms of Endearment sequal - Evening Star Moving On Somebody's Darling All My Friends are Going to be Strangers sequal - Texasville

I usually fill up when I'm below half a tank and around known cheaper gas (ha!). My commute is 40 miles each way so I have to gas up at least twice a week, and I usually wait until I'm in Austin as it's cheaper than Wimberley.

Do you like watching old movies? depends on the movie 2. Have you ever been to New York City? no- only the state 3. Would you ever live on an island? certainly, but would like it to have some elevation 4. Do you think you can dance? haha! 5. Be honest, have you ever steamed open a piece of mail and then sealed it shut after peeking inside? sounds like too much work.

Yep....hard one to call without the details but SWA tends to have the easiest-going flight attendents around. I also agree about safety issues to self or others as opposed to the plane. Not sitting down when the pilot has turned on seat belt signs is a safety issue. I fly plenty and seen and felt parents who do not controll their kids. I hate it when the kids kick the back of seats for half the flight....or throw food. I remember one grandmother, mother, toddler where I was in the window seat and every seat was taken. Grandmother could not understand why the baby could not have a seat (dumbsh@t..get a clue) and she was mad at me for sitting there. She laughed when the kid drenched me with ice water.

I've already cut back in many areas. Maybe go with more hamburger than steak.

I think Singapore is probably the farthest.

1. Did/Do you get an allowance as a kid, and if so, how much was/is it? Yes, 50 cents a week and it would buy lots of penny candy 2. How old were you when you had your first job, and what was it? 18 - my parents would not let me work. My first job was working in my father's office. 3. Which do you do better: save money or spend money? seems as if I'm always spending 4. Are people more likely to borrow money from you, or are you more likely to borrow from them? Neither 5. What's the most expensive thing you've ever bought? Land.
