Other. This is the only spot I visit for fun. Otherwise it's for work and I do use it some for personal research. Man, it makes looking for things a breeze. I keep up with family and friends via the phone.

Be shocked. They walked up a hill to get here so ask them if they need anything. Today - build thema fire.

Kerrville is one of my favorite places on the planet. The music runs for 18 days and the campfires are as entertaining as the stage acts. In fact, you will likely see more people running around at 3 in the morning than you will in the afternoon - the heat can be brutal. That's when people head to the rivers to cool down or sweat in their tents so they can play all nights. One of the best ways to experience the festival if you have never been is to volunteer for a crew. You will meet people from around the nation and the planet and make friends that will last a lifetime. That's where I met Barf Boy. Even the trash and recycle krews sing as they parade up and down the streets emptying the bins. We are usually there between 8 and 11 days. You can camp there - it's tent to tent or there are hotel and cabins around. The people make it happen and it's a spirit of magic. If you want to know where the hippies have gone, they are at Kerrville....but careful cause that hippy could be a finance banker the rest of the year. There are established camps around the ground. Such as camp Duck Tape, Camp Stupid, Camp Cusine, Camp Calm, Bush Camp, Camp Mocho Verde, Camp Bungee, and Lepord Lounge - each sporting their own music at night. At Camp Sweetness and Light - they are neither. Some camps have the musicians that were on the stage that night while others have aspiring songwriter sitting in circles, waiting their turn to play their song. Camp Peckerwood, hosted by Slim Richie, has swing jams. And then there are the kerr traditions such as Wild Woman Night, Kerrdigrass, Watermelon sacrifice and masquarade balls. Each weekend, people are married at Chapel Hill and there is a folk service every Sunday. The festival host many schools during the week such a harmonica school, music business, blues guitar, songwriting, and critique. What else can I say? It's a blast and so varied there is something for everyone.

because I'm off until after the 1st!!! Yahoo!! I'm so excited to have 15 days off. But after almost three years in house, we finally got e kitchen cabinets. So will spend the next few days putting a protective finish on the pecan and putting everything back in the kitchen. So what I'm saying is I'll be working around here.

most of them will work for me (except some blasted chipmunk song). It's getting Barf Boy up that's the issue.

Get your vasectomy done by Dr. Richard Chopp in Austin A urologist in Austin, TX has, quite possibly, the most unfortunate name; Dr. Richard Chopp. It's almost like his parents were clairvoyants. So he is Dick Chopp!!!

They are what they are and they ain't what they ain't. Is it thoughtful? Maybe! Would I brave a mall to go to that special store that someone loves and get them a giftcard instead of a gift? Likely not. If I'm doing gift cards, they are usually the visa cards that can be used like cash and not at any specific store. Of course, there is a little interest rate/service charge for using them. What I don't like is someone getting me a gift card at a place that is easy for them to purchase but hard for me to use. I have several of these still sitting around. Like one for Alamo Draft House Movie and Bar in Austin. I just used one for PF Changs that I received last Christmas.

Country life lifts her lonely head. I've only seen mimes and statues. Both have been pretty cool for the limited time I've watched.

Barf Boy and I went to sleep last night laughing over the names of his kids. We woke up this morning calling out more names. Thanks for the endless fun. The award goes to Barf Boy with Lance, Ima, and Rich.

We usually have a living tree and plant it afterwards.....not that they due well. Past two years have had a blue-tipped juniper. The are planted on either side of the front porch (and so pretty with lights on each). This year we were looking at a loplolly cypress(?) but too much water needed to establish and we are in drought conditions. We settled for a 2 foot -rosemary bush shaped to look like a little tree. It will go in the herb garden and not require much water. We have also cut cedar trees from the land - trees we were going to cut anyway, but you really have to tie the branches up to make it look like a halfway decent tree.

Usually it's quietly stew or talk things out. Most of the time there is an "it is what it is" attitude. It's usually later, when thinking about the situation, that I start the stewing but I'm working to let that go too.

The economics of it are much bigger than I can put my brain around. I think there is a strong possibility we could move from recession to depression if all three fail. If the pres bails them out (since the senate did not vote for it) there need to be some serious stipulations that come with it. But the honest truth is I've listened to both sides argue their case and I still don't know what would be best for the country.

We had snow in the Texas hills this week. That has not happened in years. Big news. It was 80 the day before the snow and 60 the day after. Go figure.

I want to further answer that last question. I'm wanting to let go of ego. It's kinda big and would like to laugh it to the wind.

1. What was the last thing that raised your blood pressure? my pressure is always high 2. Were/are you swayed by peer pressure as a teen? How does peer pressure influence you now? As a teen, yes. As an adult - no! 3. Do you perform better or worse when under pressure? I work under pressure. I don't know if it makes me better or worse. Now, it feels normal. 4. How often do you have headaches? What do you do to relieve them? Not often. Take some type of pain medication -asprin or something similar 5. Vanilla Ice sampled Queen/David Bowie's Under Pressure to create his big hit, Ice Ice Baby without giving the original artists proper credit. Have you ever been in a situation where credit was due and not given? How did it make you feel? I work to give credit to others. If the credit was mine and not given, no problem - what I wanted to happen got done and it is usually in the name of education.
