Home Depot. There is still so much work to do on the house.

The one I saw last night, Linda, detailed Lincoln's shortcomings as well as his accomplishments. He popularity gained only after his death.

Working on novel and at home with honey!

Last night was a show on Lincoln and the night before on Darwin. Based on that information, I'd say Darwin.

Have a great day. Celebrate fof a week when you get back to LA.

Good idea Wild One! Yep, I rather take the camper and make stops along the backroads.

It depends on the context of the situation. I dislike when people want to know just to know.......in the same vein of people wanting to know how much I paid for something. Tacky!

I'm going to agree with above statements. Some people are more resilent than others and can take a negative experience and use it to make better choices, improve life quality or whatever. Others could have a similiar experience, become a victim of it, and stay stuck in the victim role

It's a week long party.
Last birthday I declared it my birthday year and I would focus on me and spend money on me. I think I'll take next year too. Now, before you think that is too vain, it's really not. The year of Kira means that I take time for the things that are important and seem to be placed on hold by the mundane or other events such a mate's school, social obligations, house cleaning, laundry. Those things can fill a day or a weekend...........and life passes so quickly. Birthdays are celebration but also a time to reevaluate where life's priorities are placed.

Lots of Leos here. Make room for another. Yes, it fits me.
I read them when they are around. The fave ex-hubbie gave me a reading for my 40th bday - his neighbor does them. It was straight on.

A lean pocket pizza hotpocket and a diet coke........standard breakfast while in office.

5. If you could come back to life as a dog, would you? Why or why not? No! I don't want to be facinated with licking my own butt!
-
1. Are you a dog or cat person? Dog person. I've had two cats but many dogs
2. Do you have a dog? Have you ever had a dog? Currently three. There is Willy the mighty Maltise, Scary Harry Larry - a collie mix who appeared at the last place we lived, and Midget Mikey - the hellbent chichuchua that we chased in the road for two hours on our country street to save from coyotes. He bit me and we had to observe him for rabies. I have had dogs all my life and each lives in a special place in my heart.
3. What is your favorite breed of dog? I am partial to golden retrievers and maltises. That said I love all the friendly puppies.
4. Do you believe that dogs truly are man's best friend? Yes, I could not imagine a life without puppies. They add so much flavor to life.
5. If you could come back to life as a dog, would you? Why or why not? Only in a good home

I don't like them buzzing around me or landing on my soda can. They can have most of the space around the house but need to maintain a five inch distance from head and body. They seem to have no regard for personal space.

I'm pretty dang happy. Feel life is blessed but for icing on the cake.............
publish my novel
more time (in the sense that life is rushing by so quickly) Feeling the BIG 50 coming around the corner

I'm Kira. I use my real name because I remember it. I live in beautiful Wimberley, Texas with Barf Boy as the last and fave husband, 3 dogs, and one parrot - Sinbad - who has been an accomplice for 22 years.
I work therefore I am..... With Barf Boy now working as a nurse, I hope to change my work situation - like stop it but will take a while yet. When not running the roads helping school districts improve instruction by use of data from a nationaly normed, curriculum-based achievement test that predicts one's performance in core postsecondary classes - or take the ACT College Entrance Exam, I aspire to write fiction. I am currently working with an advising editor on my novel, aka - book doctor, and have been diagnosed with a total rewrite. Stay tuned---I will be published even if I'm photocopying and sending it to farmers.
I don't know how many times I've seen TP&HB - 3 this year and one Mudcrutch. First show was when he was with Bob Dylan. Every year I saw I'll just go to one show but ........ when tickets go on sale.............I can't control myself. And it's a very anxious time.

1. How often do you get sick with a cold or flu? It's been years. I had a case of strep throat about 12 years ago and that was the last time I was really sick.
2. Are you the sort of person who goes to work or school no matter how sick you are or are you willing to stay at home when it gets bad? No - stay home. We used to have a boss that wanted to see how sick we were and she would come to work and get other people sice. Our VP now doesn't want us there at all.
3. How do you like to treat a cold? What remedies do you like and why?
Nose spray if I'm stuffed up. I hate it when breathing becomes a labored activity - wears a person out. Other than that, maybe cough suppresent at night but I hate the feeling over the counter medicines give me. Feels as if only trading one bad feeling for another.
4. What do you do to keep from getting sick in the winter? Keep away from ill people.
5. What is your favorite thing to do when you stay home from work or school?
write

OMG - Yes! Barf Boy is so excited! He's been a Kurt Warner fan since he was at Univ. of Northern Iowa. I'll be coming home from a conference Sunday and will call so I can pick up his fave dips for the game. And then there's Bruce...........and the commercials

Handing out all the research I have on the ACT and College Readiness. I'm at an English teacher's conference in Ft. Worth, and I don't want to load the pounds of materials and carry them back to the car, office.

1. What's the longest time you've spent standing? Standing at a no-chair Bob Dylan. Stood about 6 hours
2. How many people on Mudcrutch Farm know your real name? I guess everyone. It's Kira cause I'm bad with names so I don't expect people to remember two names for me.
3. What makes you afraid? Dogs barking in the middle of the night, heights, stopping at convience stores after dark, walking in a city alone, the thoughts that come in my head when I'm alone........lots of things.......thanks so much - mother! She put the fear of "someone's going to grab you" in my head early.
4. What's the worst physical injury you've had? A sprained ankle
5. What line won't you cross? that dark line in my mind
