Fresh out of Mike butt photos, I'm forced to move on....to his hands.....
If he had four hands, would Mike have a guitar with four necks too?

Nice Shot Fan!

As I recall tomato seeds are not digestible, so , um, ........
Well, there ya go, ..... and a little while later, up pops a tomato!

The pants are popular enough that they could have their own photo thread LOL!
Has anyone interviewed the pants?
Asked 'em about their travels, and why they've hung around so long?
Maybe find out what its like to be laundered in strange hotel laundry machines, or to be repeatedly patched by strangers with crude improvised sewing kits in the field....

Don't worry, be happy.
We are merely awaiting a date and time from our contact. Not shockingly, they have a few other things on their plate at the moment.
But it is all good.
As the great master used to say, "Soon Grasshopper".
Once we get a date and time, all I have to do is construct a giant wooden rabbit.....

Sex tapes are so passe.
You'd think celebrities of this stature would have Sex DVDs in this day and age.
Im guessing the kids are fairly insulated because they have probably never heard of a VCR.

Nice Nurk!
I was thinking of posting a rear-shot of Mike I found from a show, but your shot is better.... Mike was wearing some kind of 'Dirty Knobs' Bat-Utility Belt under his shirt in the shot I took and the bulge made him look a little Quasimodo-like

And he's wearing 'The Pants' in your shot too

Can't wait for the next gig!
-
I abstain
Parking with my sweetie isn't on the list
(Well, OK, Id park in a National Park)
-
OK Maybe you ought to sit down for a while

But after you are rested, here is another.... From the Joint - not technically a Knobs performance I believe, since Matt and Lance were absent, but I thought it was a cool photo...
Jason and Rick Rosas

Oh Geeze!
The last time we went, the locals were singing "Don't come around here no more" as we were leaving

NYC would be very fun...... Great food...... Hmmmmm
Nah, must not give in to the dark side LOL!

from wikipedia regarding google desktop
Many privacy and civil liberties groups such as the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) have concerns that personal information on people's computers could readily be copied from users' hard drives.
Google Desktop version 3 contains certain features that raise serious security and privacy concerns. Specifically, the share across computers feature that introduces the ability to search content from desktop to desktop greatly increases the risk to users' privacy. If Google Desktop V.3 is set to allow Search Across Computers, files on an indexed computer are copied to Google's servers. The potential for information stored on their computers to be accessed by others if they enable this feature of Google Desktop v. 3 on their computers should be seriously considered. The EFF advises against using this feature.[14] Also, those who have confidential data on their work or home computers should not enable this feature. There are privacy laws and company policies that could be violated through the installation of this feature, specifically, SB 1386, HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA and Sarbanes-Oxley.[15]
Other more far reaching concerns arise around the packaging and end user license agreement - specifically the level of intrusion on the local machine and the disclaimers that users implicitly agree to future changes in the license agreement without actually being able to see them immediately.[16][17]
Sounds like if you are running version 3 you need to get rid of it / upgrade to the newer 'less evil' version for starters.
This sounds nasty:
In February 2007, Yair Amit from Watchfire found a series of vulnerabilities[12] [13] in Google Desktop that could allow a malicious individual to achieve not only remote, persistent access to sensitive data, but in some cases full system control as well. The significant impact and the ease of exploitation forced Google to change some of Google Desktop's logic in Google Desktop version 5.

Ah, Surfnburn's link is coded to go to 127.0.0.1:4664 that explains that part. Makes sense since he is running google desktop. (Hope its safe!)
-
I can go to the TDK website fine if I type in the url into my browser, but if I follow the link in surfnburn's post I get re-directed to 127.0.0.1:4664
^ This is what pops up in my browser after it fails to connect.
Port 4664 is used by google desktop - some kind of web server I believe. Not sure what is going on but something is fishy.
No virus warnings on my system if I go directly to TDK site.
(This is on Athena's laptop - have not tried my server system yet)

This kind of behavior is really despicable.
The artists have clearly indicated they want the campaign to cease and desist from using the song. Evidently the campaign doesn't give a rats handside about the artist's wishes.
Think about that, and what it might portend for all other citizens. If you have something they want, they'll just take it.
Is this a conservative family value?
Maybe the Beck Hansen cover from 'She's the One' would be a more appropriate song for them to use?

Strange that no one mentioned the track Supernatural Radio.
I think its a real Gem.

Mike looks young in that photo Marion! Is that a wild guitar or what?
Here is one taken at the Joint (Now Joe's Joint) - Mike and Jason reading each others fingers as they play.

I visited the gallery in Soho when I was in NYC for the TP&HB concerts at MSG and Prudential Center in NJ.
My eyes popped out BIG TIME at the photos on display. Simply amazing stuff.
If you visit, bring paper towels (to mop up the drool) and lots and lots of money if you want to buy any of the prints! (Oh but it is so tempting! - there was this photo of Roger Waters and a bunch of cats all sitting on a couch and looking out the window.....
Let us know if you get in and what the show was like please! It does sound pretty wild - well, it is Dave Stewart!

That shot of Mike with the Doozy, and Tom with his boot up on the monitor .... Wow!
Great shots Lizzie!
What a night

I think my only 'gripe' about the Mudcrutch gigs is that there were not enough photos captured there. It wasn't a photo shoot of course, but it was pretty historic none the less.
For that reason it is wonderful to see these images!
I still cant get over it - including Mike playing just one guitar on that entire album (and at the live performances) - Pretty unusual stuff from guys who even after decades in the biz, still seem to have plenty of wonderful tricks up their sleeves!

Can a post about 'foot licking' be far behind?

OK I gotta admit, Tom pulls that bathrobe look off pretty well. Maybe he shoulda been a runway model instead of a musician?

Deadly Train Crash in California Kills 10

This is really sad.
There was a previous MTA - Freight train collision about 2 miles from my house here in Placentia, CA. Same deal, two trains, same track. I have to say I am not impressed with the commuter train passenger safety record around here.
You'd think that two trains on one track in close proximity would set off some kind of automatic safety system..... At least in this day and age.
But from what I can see on the tracks, the railroads are still mostly using 19th century technology to manage things.
Commercial aircraft have TCAS as a last line of defense against mid-air collisions, and its prevented countless collisions since it was deployed. It warns pilots of a collision danger, and commands them to climb or dive, directing the pair of airplanes away from each other. Seems like deploying something like that for trains would be trivial. Its not like the rails are moving around much, unlike the variable paths airplanes take.
I think its time for a long overdue upgrade of the rail systems.
