"Yangyang was so cute and I just wanted to cuddle him," Liu was quoted as saying from his hospital bed. "I didn't expect he would attack."...." I swear there's a country song in there someplace.... "Oh Liu, whats a feller to do, Tried huggin' a Panda, Now he's totally screwed...." "They're all cute and cuddly, and He wasn't a prude, But He couldn't quite figure if it were a chick or a dude"

LOL! Seriously, thank all of you. We have much to be thankful for this year. Together Athena and I discovered a new world. All it took was a commitment to seek out live music. Just a little thing but it has changed our lives, and opened the door to a new universe of discovery. There are essential qualities that music lovers share - amongst them are a willingness and the ability to open their hearts and minds to art, and the desire to make a connection with that thing about the music ..... so indescribable....... that moves their souls. Our journey of discovery into this wonderful world has brought us together with so many wonderful people. It has been transformational. If I can capture and save even a moment of that feeling - that thing that lives under colored lights in darkened rooms, coaxed out by guitars and drums and propelled with a thundering bass line, crowned with joyous singing - it is only to prove once and for all that heaven can and does exist. Right here on earth.

For what it is worth, I cant get the song 'sinner' out of my head now! Total ear worm!!! And that was close to if not the best DK performance I have seen. Its hard to feel 100% confident in that statement, because there have been so many incredible performances - in fact the night (last year?) when Mike trotted out 'Above Water' for the first time also stands out as an incredible experience, but this time around...... Man, I wished they could have kept playing till the sun came up. In fact, the energy of the show kept building and building. Pure musical wizardry on every side. Wow!

Thanks Lizzie. Now I am thinking I should have shot more and danced less, but it sure seemed like the right thing to do at the time! Got to go thru the DK photos next and see what turns up. Truth be told, I musta screwed up somehow and ended up with a unacceptable number of shots taken at too low a shutter speed (blur). No idea what happened. Blame the camera I figure - I'm too damn good looking to have screwed up
