Dirty Knobs Live At Cozys 06/26 & 06/27 2009

Ill be the goofy looking guy who is struggling with the big assed camera on Friday night. I do like the name tag idea though. Might help me to remember some of the names and faces around here. I'm terrible at that. -
Happy Birthday Dave!!!!!! Hope you had a blast!!!

It was a record they couldn't resist

That is one big bong! It is cool how Big Ben has survived all of the catastrophes over the years and still helps define the London soundscape.

That is really great Nurk! I just d/led the zip and listened to all the tracks. Man I wish I could play like that. Who all is in the Nurktwins? Is it just you? Tell us do! Cherry Cherry is cool and I love the soundstage effect I got here even with a crappy pair of computer speakers. The tambourine was on the left and the guitar was dead center. Then the drums came in and they seemed to be in the back. Great effect.

Its not that I wouldn't want to discuss all the friendships made, and the music discovered as a byproduct of being a TP&HB fan. In fact I dont think any book about being a fan would be complete without it! But for me the one single thing that would have to be included is an attempt to capture the experience of being immersed in the live performance. That is what keeps me coming back time after time. There is something 'other worldly' about the experience and it is absolutely magical. In fact, 'Show me the Magic' would be a good working title

^When do we come over for dinner? That sounds good! I need to finish my test presentation. Its going to be the third time we try to reach consensus on how to test this damn thing. No wonder its turned into a 'food fight' every time - its an ill defined product with ill defined requirements and the different product groups are at war with one another.....but I'm supposed to pin down how to test the damn thing. Its like something out of a Kafka novel. Well the char marks have almost healed from the last presentation anyhow.... No wonder I'm putting it off.

Damn I'd like to be at this show. Have a major test planning review at work Tuesday and really shouldn't risk staggering in Monday morning...... Grrrrrrrr. (Arguably, I'd probably be more productive at the Viper Room LOL!) There is some really cool lighting at the Viper Room and I hope hope they get some great photos! Bring some W-I-D-E lenses! I was so close when I saw the Knobs there that when Lance swung his Bass around I had to duck! Sounds like its going to be a GREAT gig.

You know, the article never even mentioned if the guy, missing the foot, was deceased. I mean, hey if the guy was still alive you would think he'd want his foot back. Guess he must have 'kicked it'. (ugh) If I keep this up Ryan is going to give me the boot. (ducking)

Source: http://www.wpbf.com/news/19610184/detail.html " Firefighter Who Took Foot Sentenced To Probation Cynthia Economou Says She Took Foot To Train Cadaver Dog PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- A former St. Lucie County firefighter who admitted taking a man's severed foot from an Interstate 95 crash scene last year has been sentenced to six months probation.A judge withheld adjudication Friday, so 38-year-old Cynthia "Cindy" Economou was not formally convicted of misdemeanor theft. Economou told the Florida Highway Patrol after the Sept. 19 crash that she took the remains to help train her cadaver dog. She eventually resigned from the St. Lucie County Fire District. There's no law specifically dealing with the theft of a body part. She was charged with a misdemeanor because authorities couldn't determine the monetary value of the foot. I'd say this whole thing stinks but then again, I guess that was the point wasn't it? LOL!

Springsteen to be final act to play at Giants Stadium

I cant wait to see how Ticketmaster screws up this sale too. First it was directing people instantly to jacked up tickets at their Ticketsnow site, then it was selling non-existent tickets..... I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Ticketmaster is going to REALLY try to do this one right, but they just seemed cursed.... Good luck Bruce fans. I feel for you. -
I dont think jamming is the answer - however teaching common courtesy regarding phone usage should be encouraged. Once people start lighting off jammers it will screw up the spectrum for even responsible phone users, or in the event of an emergency where use is justified even when otherwise disallowed. I much rather prefer training people to be responsible instead of making everyone suffer for the few dolts among us.

Why Should I Have To Pay for My Employees’ Health Care?
angelic_22 replied to Refugee's topic in Depot Street
"I have to devote substantial company resources to something that fundamentally has nothing to do with the business of the company." What a selfish turd. Having healthy employees is good for the company. Any employer that doesn't see that isn't worth working for. -
When should we come over Nurk? That sounds yummy! Got chores to do here today - might spend a few hours in the garden too - darn weeds are growing like mad. But the corn is knee high and the 'maters are growing!

Ho-Hos - I like playing with the foil after I eat 'em. Not sure if the foil is more or less toxic than the ho-hos.
