  1. FULLERTON, Calif. — An unemployed mortgage worker from Southern California had the luck of his life this week: he hit the jackpot twice in two days. Sean Sanders went to a liquor store in nearby Placentia on Wednesday to pick up a claim form for his $1,400 win from Tuesday night's California Lottery draw.

While there, he checked his Mega Millions ticket — and found he had won an additional $141,519.

The 35-year-old Fullerton resident said that he is currently unemployed and has been working only sporadically since 2007.

  2. Welcome to the Farm Ace!

I went back through a number of photos - some of which did a pretty good job of showing the guitar cord and how it was plugged into the guitar Mike was playing at the time, and all I see is a plug - sometimes I see what looks like some strain relief built into the plug - (looks like a coil of wire that extends down from the bottom of the plug a little - the cable runs inside it as it enters the plug and the coil of wire supports the cable and keeps it from getting pinched or bent real sharply against the connector)

Can you give me a link to a photo where you saw what you saw? If Its one I took I might be able to enlarge the area in question to give a better view.

  3. That show quickly became very strange. I watch it now just to see what crazy stuff will happen next :)

The drive by shooting scene (in the prius) was classic. Also the question the guys asked the maid - or should I say her answer was classic!

  4. Ah, I recall back in the days of college before we got a TV. We used to get a lot of stuff done then.

Eventually we got a small second hand TV for our college apartment - couldn't afford lots of cable channels but we did pay for basic cable.

Funny thing was, they would show soft core porn on the weekends and scramble the video. It was a poor attempt of scrambling and the video would just be wavy - just barely enough to make it almost impossible to identify what was on the screen. After a few beers people were known to gather around the TV and play 'name that body part'.

    "Its a boob!"

"No dude, I think its an ear!"

    "A Leg!"

It was highly amusing to walk into the apartment and see several hammered college students watching scrambled TV and trying to guess what was on. The audio wasn't scrambled at all.

OK I suppose it might have been pay per view religious programming - You'd often hear people exclaiming 'Oh God!"

  5. I think the time we rented a house on the North shore of Kauai was the best vacation I can remember.

A bunch of Family went in on it together so we could afford to get this really nice house that was just a few short yards (thru jungle) to the water. It was really fun all of us being together! We drank Mai Thais on the lanai, went snorkeling (and Athena went scuba diving!), listened to wildflowers while we drove across the island, r-e-l-a-x-e-d.... Even bumped into Martin Sheen at dinner one night.

We keep thinking of doing that again it was so much fun! And when three groups went in together it was about the same cost as doing the hotel or condo thing.... But it sure felt decadent!

  6. 1. What kind of parties do you like? Big bashes? Small get-togethers?

All kinds. Depends on my mood.

    2. Do you play any games (video or not)? Which ones? Are you any good at them?

I am a Jedi Master in X-Wing vs Tie Fighter :) (bowing proudly) Been a long time though. Athena hates the Star Wars soundtrack now. (It would play in the background during the game unless shut off)

    3. What was the best party experience you've ever had? The worst?

Best was when Athena walked into my life. Cant think of the worst at the moment.

    4. Do you feel snacks are an important part of a party? What do you like to munch on?

Snacks are good. Chips, dip, Tamales, whatever...

    5. Have you ever thrown a wild party while your parents were out of town? What happened?

Well, it wasn't really wild but yes - and I carefully cleaned the place afterward. In fact I cleaned so well that my Dad knew something was up.

I learned an important lesson: When throwing unapproved parties at your parents house, don't toss the empties in your own trash cans. LOL!
