Thanks for the review, TeeBee! Sweet William was my favorite too.

Oh my gosh, Patty - I had no idea you were going through this again. I feel so terrible for you. My heart goes out to you, Krissie & her family.

it's definitely Elvis - and we know how Tom feels about Elvis, so maybe it's an inspirational tchotchke - or something

The new Coldplay - Viva La Vida. Good stuff.

Marion, you got a double-butt shot! Nice! LOL

^ Whew! That's a relief! Glad it worked out. I wonder if I can motivate myself to clean the bathrooms.

Those fans must have been on the lawn, there was no bra tossing down in the front section. Nice article, Ref.

Donna had the best seat in the house! Great pics.

Great pics, Lady! Thanks for that review.

^No you would have hated the heat. That's the main reason I never try to get you guys to come out here for a show. Please - inside venues next time guys!

Have fun! Robbie told me last night that a friend of her's was at the show they played at a club in MA recently. Apparantly every Heartbreaker (except) Tom was in the house.

Great show but no surprises. We loved Winwood's set (the crowd was really into him) but were disappointed that he didn't play with the Heartbreakers. I'm not much a picture taker during concerts (it's too distracting) but I got one decent one of Steve. It was your typical hot & humid night in NC (Marion, I agree - enough with the sheds in the summer!) but the band was at the top of their game as always. Our seats were the center section, row 6 - my view of Tom was partially obstructed by tall people but it didn't matter because I had a clear line of sight to Mike & Ben most of the night. Charles & I both said afterwards that we watched Mike most of the night anyway! Loved, loved, loved Sweet William! Donna, Mike & Robbie had amazing, smack-dab center seats so I know she got some amazing pictures - can't wait to see them! It was great meeting up with her, Mike, Robbie, Jill, Scott & their daughter before the show. We got to bed late & my son called from Japan at 7 am, so I think I'm going back to bed for a while!

The Who reveal first dates for fall US tour
Nylle replied to Refugee's topic in Anything That's Rock N Roll
Oh boy. I'm kind of glad their tickets are out of my price range. I'd be so tempted otherwise. -
They will be other tours, Succatash - next time you won't miss it!

I assume you mean the weather LOL. Outside, mid-summer, central North Carolina - it's always a hot sticky night of rock & roll when they come here. A few years ago it was so oppressive they actually took a break and went back stage to throw cold water on their faces or something - then came back & played (not in the usual setlist) Call Me the Breeze. It was pretty cool. I think Donna & Marion were there - but I didn't know them then!
-
Amy, that was incredibly cool. It gave me chills. Thanks!

This seemed a thread-worthy subject to me! :003: I won't be in Charlotte tonight but Donna & Jill will. We're meeting up with them tomorrow before the Raleigh show. Anyone else going to either show?

Nylle replied to Refugee's topic in Depot Street
I was going to name my boys Chewbacca & Skywalker but my husband didn't approve.
