Here's my plan for protesters that want to open the country and spread the virus!
    COVID-19 PROTESTERS

    My solution to your problem

IF you want to protest that your freedom and rights were taken away because of the Coronavirus lockdown, then I have a plan that will benefit you.

My plan lets you congregate with your fellow believers so that you can gather together on your lawn and protest.

It’s a simple plan, all you need is a FREE license from your local Gov. office. It will look like your Drivers License with your pix and date issued that allows you to get together with other non-believers that the virus will kill you. And here comes the best part, it’s free for you to wonder around your state, but you still have to follow State and Local rules, so if grocery stores, barber shops, pubs and anything else are closed, you can’t get in, even with your license. AND now the very best part, the license is free, but to get it from your local Gov. office, all you have to do is give back the $1200 the Gov gave you plus the $500 you received for each of your children. Protest that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I've become quite a fan of the old black and white Gunsmoke episodes lately. Funny, I had never watched Gunsmoke until recently.
I wonder what else I've been missing.

I'm with you Nel, we got to take care of each other. There was a  C-19 case in Stark County Ohio (Canton area) and for some dumb ass reason they brought him to a Trumbull County hospital 25 miles away from me. And on top of that, the hospital is pretty bad, you don't want to go there for any reason if you can stay away from it. WTF is going on with local, county, state and federal government agencies? Are they that fuckin' dumb or are they just following their leader who doesn't care about anyone but himself? He claims there is no emergency, only 1% of American people will die, that's over 100,000!!!!!!!!! But then again, he believes there is no global warming either. Now is the time to stop the political fighting started by this administration and start acting like human beings again and love your neighbor and more importantly, help them. We have always done that here at The Farm and across the whole Tom Petty Nation. Let's not stop now, dig in, pitch in and help someone less fortunate than you are. I personally will help all I can in my home town and also send as many cases (45 rolls) of toilet paper to "The Hope Lodge" for cancer patients in Cleveland near the Cleveland Clinic where I stayed for 6 weeks after my operation last July, while doing chemo and radiation for 6 weeks. I just hope I can locate and get the toilet paper, but there are other things to donate too for the 65 families that stay there every night. Cans of soup, nutrition drinks, frozen veggies and any food you can think of. Farmers bring in fresh peppers, veggies, fruit and more during the summer. I've also seen things like toothbrushes, mouthwash, shampoo and even pots and pans, kitchen utensils, fans and more donated. This place depends on donations, money included. They provide a place to stay for cancer patients absolutely FREE, no questions asked. Just apply before all the rooms are filled! I wasn't accepted until 1 day after I started treatments, that's how many people are requesting a room, I was 1 of the lucky ones to get a room. The Cleveland Clinic is world renown and everyone wants to go there, but getting a room to live in for a couple months off campus is another question. So, If you can donate a dollar or a can of soup of even a roll of toilet paper, it can't hurt. BTW, 2 short blocks away (walking distance) is Little Italy with restaurants and bakeries, not to mention a bar or 2. Thanks..........Nurk

    Hi Nel and fellow farmers,
What should have immediately been done; set up a protocol to prevent hoarding. I'm amazed at people buying toilet paper when most people I know go about once a day if that or are constipated. Noted about women and their needs but still, no need for hoarding of anything, if everyone just took enough for what they need there's plenty to go around.
I think some utilities are suspending shut off notices in case people can't work and pay their bills. Good. This should be S.O.P. to begin with.
If people reigned in their panic things would be better. But the TV doesn't help really. As for other things, washing hands, not sneezing on people...please. Shouldn't this just be the norm? But then, at work I've seen guys leave the bathroom without washing their hands.
Hopefully the utilities keep a-goin' God bless those people going into work for the important things, doctors, nurses, police, fire, people who run and keep the utilities going, electric etc.
I'd been following the info probably much as you but hoped things would flatten out. I'm still optimistic they will. But the media in my opinion and random others I've spoken to while out and about say they made it worse. Watching a gif of two people fighting over a 24 pack of toilet paper when all they had to do was agree to split it. Sad.
I'm hoping when this over (sooner than later) that people will have a new appreciation for the simple things in life, myself included. Like being able to go to the gym to work out. My local one is closing no big surprise I was waiting for the notice.
But really, if you're not over 65, have a weakened immune system or are very young, I don't think you have to worry about this. Actually, one thing I've learned over the years is worry for the most part is worthless. Anyway, I've heard conflicting reports, false positives, people in panic mode with psychosomatic systems, the numbers of infected are underestimated, overestimated and so on. Call me idealistic but I think even if people contract it, their immune systems will defeat it God willing and the others who are weaker naturally or through age should be the ones protected, extra-cautious etc.
I guess in some ways, a situation like this may reveal the strength of our moral code as individuals and society. Well, I"m hoping for the best and this is just a level of (over) precaution and in some time this will flatten out and normalcy will return and with it, as I said before a new appreciation for the simple things in life. Even dare I say it, listening to a typical TPATH live cd with boring set list. Well...let's not go crazy.
I hope everyone out there is healthy and safe.
    cheers

^^Shelter, your quote is also great (but even more depressing). Thanks for posting.

might want to try light therapy as it sounds like you might have recurring Seasonal Affective Disorder or I shit you not SAD>  They sell SAD lights on Amazon and its helped me with this over the years but getting outside and staying active as possible helps as the sunlight keeps your internal clock set correctly.  The short days mess with a lot of people and no day light on the way to and from work is what makes it worse.

Radiation can be done locally, but NO-ONE trusts the local hospitals! And, I would then be under the care of local doctors, not my doctors in Cleveland. The cancer society has a program with hotels, if the rooms are unsold, we get a discount. But if a room sells, then I would be moved to another room or even another hotel. I'm not crazy about being moved every day or 2. There is also a place called "Hope Lodge" for cancer patients that is free!!!! I think they have 31 rooms, but at last check they are all booked, I'll call again this week. 2 people can stay in the room, but there is no TV or food allowed. There is a central kitchen where you can bring food and share a fridge with others and a central dining area to eat. They also have a central room with a couple TV's to spend some time and a garden area out back to sit and relax. A shuttle bus is available to take you to the hospital for treatments. The lodge is on a busy street about 1-3 miles from the hospital and is right near "Little Italy" with shops and good restaurants! I'll keep checking to see if something opens up and then call all 4 of my main doctors because they have to recommend me to get a room. Another thing I heard of is that a lot of collage students at Cleveland State are renting in Little Italy, maybe I can find a place to rent there. I'll keep checking and see what happens. See ya soon.............Nurktwin.
