Yes, we had both a Ben Franklin and a Woolworth's nearby.

Happy birthday, Sharon! Hope you have a great day.

Where the hell is Broomfield, Colorado??

Sorry to hear that, Liz. I hope it ultimately works out for you!

Probably "Yer So Bad," but "Alright for Now" has a lot of sentimental value for me.

Yes, most of the time.

wild1forever replied to NightDriver's topic in The Waiting
HOLY CRAP, they are playing the Jazz Fest?!?!?! I've been needing an excuse to return to New Orleans. :003: -

Whatever brand our former employer used, lol. When the office shut down, they let the employees take home the surplus.

I loved decorating the tree with my sons. We were listening to Bob Rivers' Twisted Christmas songs, lol.

I can think of three: Northridge show. :003: Started exercising daily in May, and I'm still at it. Met several of the SF Giants at spring training in March, and got great photos with four of them.

Almost never. I suppose I'm old, but a lot of the newer comics just aren't funny to me.

Today we are getting our tree and finishing the decorations. Tomorrow we are going bowling.

Classic Rock Video Of The Day
wild1forever replied to nurktwin's topic in Anything That's Rock N Roll
^ What an incredibly sweet video! It brought a tear to my eye, as well as memories of singing that song to my son when he was little. Thanks much for posting that, Nurk. -
The Mr. has a HUGE family, and they have a family reunion every year on Long Island. We try to go every three years or so. My family had a reunion in 2004, but nothing since.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2012 Inductees: Beastie Boys In http://www.theboombox.com/2011/12/07/rock-and-roll-hall-of-fame-2012-inductees-beastie-boys-in/ Cleveland, get ready for one hell of a night. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 2012 inductees will include Guns N' Roses, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and the Beastie Boys. This year's musician class also includes singer-songwriter Laura Nyro, '60s folk rocker Donovan, Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood's the Faces/Small Faces, and late blues legend Freddie King, who will be inducted as an early influence. Don Kirshner, an executive, songwriter and one of the creators of the Monkees, and producers Tom Dowd, Glyn Johns and Cosimo Matassa round out this year's class. Among this year's snubs are first-time nominees the Cure, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Heart, and Eric B and Rakim. Donna Summer, Rufus with Chaka Khan, and Heart also failed to garner the necessary support. The buzz about this year's ceremony, set for April 14 in Cleveland, will be whether or not Guns N' Roses' classic lineup and the Beastie Boys will perform. GNR's principal members, Axl Rose and Slash, have been embroiled in a bitter feud since the guitarist left the band in 1997. The Beastie Boys haven't performed since member Adam Yauch was diagnosed with cancer in his parotid gland in 2009. The hip-hop trio released their eighth studio album, 'Hot Sauce Committee Part Two' earlier this year. The Chili Peppers are pretty much a lock to perform, considering they're touring the U.S. in 2012 behind their latest album, 'I'm With You.' They don't have a show set for April 14.

^^Oh no, Liz! Car trouble is such a pain. My random thought: is this 7th-grade drama, or is something really wrong?
