  1. I wonder if or how many of the great musicians of all time share this with you.

I wonder if Tom can see colors too....I might have read somewhere that he said something like, to play some songs more blue...,or so..

(Someone ought to write a song called 'Synesthesia' if it has not already been done. Tom? Mike? Dave? Darian? What do you think? :) )

I kow there is an album out with that title, but I don´t know which band made it.

If this is not too personal a question Wildflower, since there seems to be a genetic link involved, do all your children share this amazing ability? (I don't know if you have more than one). Also, when was it during your life that you discovered that everyone didn't have the same ability? How did you react to that knowledge? Dang, you are one in a million baby! :) I never thought I would converse with someone who experiences Synesthesia. I have read about it for years while studying the physiology of music perception and have tried to imagine what it might be like. Do you still see the colors / patterns if you close your eyes while listening to these songs?

Do you have any other amazing talents we should know about? Mind reading? Levitation? Can you bend spoons? Can you count cards in a 6 deck shoe? ;)

    Peace

I only have one daughter, but one of AnotherBee´s sons has this ability, too:)

Hmmm...I think, it was when I asked a former friend if he sees the same color of a song like me and he said, he never sees colors in songs, that there must be something special with me.....;) I was 18 or 19 years old then.

Before that I really thought it was total normal to see such things. I allways thought EVERYBODY does it.

From that time on I was searching for people who has the same ability like me......and it was my own daughter I found....:003:

The colors and pattern appearing without any help from me. It´s like you have "inner-eyes" (I don´t know, if that word exist). You don´t realise that you see it. When I was a child I only thought I can see weekdays and numbers in colors, but later I realised it also are names and songs. Then I read a book about Synesthesia and realised there are many more things I see in colors/pattern. And I found out why I have a left-right-problem.......it´s because I´m reacting on colors....If somebody says something like "turn left", a yellow spot appears on the RIGHT sight of my inner field of vision - and I turn right.....and if they say "turn right" a green spot is appearing on the left side......:102:

And I can see strong emotions......I`m always remember the colors and pattern I saw when my sister-in-law told me that my husband died.........I saw the space with green stars in it and suddenly it cracked up and got out of place....(very heavy emotion...a breakdown...but I´m working on it to get on my feet again.)

If I have any other amazing talents? :017: Hmmm ....I´m good in confusing electronical things like computer ect......

It was hard for me to talk of all these in english (kind of grey-blue...... "german" is more light-grey, while "deutsch" looks more yellow-grey......"american" is darken than "english"......:003:) and I hope not confusing you too much......

  2. I see music in colors ( and other things like week-days, numbers, City-names, left and right, ect....). You can´t force the colors you see, they happen...The color(s) (and pattern) jumping up just when the first tone starts. The color(s) and pattern are difficult to discribe for songs (and other things), but they´re never changing. So "Refugee" and "Rebels" are kind of red and looking very similar. "American Girl" is black with a hazy hole and if Tom sings the part with the "441" a yellow spot appears (4 is yellow for me).
