MTV basically started with those UMMMM, old songs, because of the Beatles. They took the idea from the 60's, when The Beatles send a couple videos to The Ed Sullivan show because they couldn't be there in person. As more people followed the lead of The Beatles and made video's, MTV had the vision of putting these video's on their own channel. MTV was successful with that format, but has abandoned that format in favor of new music. As most of you know, I have nothing against new music, I love music of all kinds, I've played from classical to rock and will continue to stand for MUSIC. Without music there is no life for me, I listen to music EVERY day, and maybe more people in this world should too. As former President Bill Clinton said the other night, "I have more yesterdays than tomorrows", I too am in that boat, and I know that I will always stand up for music no matter how old I get. We have to listen to all ages of music from the beginning of time til today. All music is our heritage, case closed. I hope I opened your eyes to the history of music that WE can all be proud of. I'm sorry if it sounded like I was running for office, that's the last thing I want. I just think that WE are the future of music, me as the older music, and YOU as the new music.Let's keep it going, not only on the Farm, but worldwide.
Cookout today, bbq ribs, potatoes, corn on the cob, salad and a birthday cake and ice cream for dessert. Surprised that its cool outside with a nice breeze, maybe we should eat outside. Happy 4th of July Farmers!!!
