I haven't said much, cuz I'm still in shock! My prayers go out to the entire Petty "Family". Very few people have influenced my life besides my parents and grandparents. All the rest were musicians, from The Beatles to Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers. Their dedication to life and music are unsurpassed. I am so glad that I saw every concert I could over the years and have those memories. Without Tom, we wouldn't be here now. Because of Tom, I met a lot of you and we had the greatest of times. We have to keep going and keep the TPATH legend alive, it's the least we can do. God Bless Tom Petty.

^  I agree and what better place than "The Hall Of Fame" to honor our hero TOM PETTY. It takes time to organize a get together, but maybe we can do a yearly get together on Tom's birthday October 20th. I suggested the HOF because we can look at his history and see guitars and clothes he and The Heartbreakers used over the past 40 years for our 1st reunion, instead of just meeting at a bar and BS'ing in Anytown, USA. We can also look at setting up a private visit to the Hollywood Bowl for another year and actually stand on the stage TPATH and so many others performed on. That would be a dream come true for me and I'm sure, all of you too. That's just a couple ideas that come to mind and we should seriously think about and make it a reality. Tom gave his life to us, now we have to honor his life in a special way.

Nah, the Farm isn't being swallowed up by anyone or anything. It sounds like you are thinking about shutting down the site for lack of interest. Tons of people don't use Facebook or even smartphones, and that's where Mudcrutch Farm steps in. The Farm isn't what it was in 2000 because people move on to try these new things and when they can't figure it out, give up on everything. That's not a reason to consider shutting down the site. A lot of us OLDIES don't post anymore, but I do to keep this site going. I've always tried to post things to bring new fans to the site. You ask what is Mudcrutch Farm. Well, I'll tell you. It was a dream of Tom Petty's that never worked out. BUT he never gave up and went on to become 1 of America's greatest bands and then after 30 years brought back his beloved dream of Mudcrutch! He never gave up and should be an inspiration to all people of the world to never give up on your dreams. And by that I mean you as Mudcrutch. #2 Where do we go from here? Add #3 too. Maybe try adding video's of TPATH or even video's from members of themselves doing TPATH and even covers of other bands to draw new fans. Just make sure everyone has their songs covered from law suits.....lol. #4 What should stay the same....Most of the posting should stay, people DO have things to say. The last thing I'm going to say is that I believed in you when I 1st found this site and traveled across the state to meet you when you were at Bowling Green and we spent the night partying around town and finally at what you called a flop house...lol. We left the next morning for Milwaukee to see TPATH at Summerfest 2003 and we had the best of times meeting all the Mudcrutch Farm members. I still hope to get together with everyone again. All we have now are memories, but with your help keeping this place alive, we have hope of doing it again. Hang in there Ryan, I believed in you, believe in us. Thanks....................your friend... Nurk.

Mikeyt, It's getting to the point that I'm not sure how many guitars I have at the moment. But I'm sure it's over 100. I quit counting long ago, it's my love or should I say it's my hobby? I just love guitars and music, so I just keep going on. I keep saying I'm done buying guitars, but I'm just lying to myself. Hell, I'm planning on going to Monroe, NC to visit the Ludwig Drum Factory and buy a couple more custom sets that I'll design and take home!!! Music and the instruments that make it, is a love that I'll never get over. It's just my passion and I'll continue with it.

Sorry to see that none of the Farmers donated any money, but that's ok, I'm sure everyone has their own local charities they give to. So keep helping your favorite charities. The good news is that we raised $319,000.00 for the sick and disabled children. Have a great day Farmers!

48 years ago today, The Beatles released their Abbey Road LP. I haven't listened to this clip yet, cuz I'm listening to The Battle of The Bands, "TPATH vs The Byrds" on Tom Petty radio XM. As soon as it's over, I'll listen to this where John Lennon talks about and explains each song on Abbey Road. Here is the link, enjoy.

I just ordered this compressor pedal called a "Jangle Box" 50th  Byrd's anniversary model. This 1st video shows it being played with a Tele and Vox AC 15. The 2nd video is just a guy playing a RIC 12 string George Harrison model 360/12, not Roger's 360/12, nor his 370/12, but you get the sound of the 12 string.

^  You're right Toni, this is a family setting where we know each other and express our opinions and that's fine. It's what the world needs, a family!! Just like family's do, we have arguments from time to time, but we always end up together. If Ryan didn't start this site, we wouldn't know each other, and I'm only talking about the 1st few hundred people to join this site and get it started. We not only became online friends, we became real in person friends. All of us have traveled all over this great country to be together for 1 reason, and that's Rock n Roll and to see TPATH. We all have something to be greatful for, and that's music. Without it, I would never have met any of you, and wouldn't have the memories I do. I can't thank all of you enough for all of that. I just want to tell all of us old people and the newbies to post anything you can think of to keep this great site going. It's all we have.

OK, I'll go 1st. 1 of my best friends and I used to hit a lot of bars on a regular basis!!! 1 of our friends worked at local bar and found out that another bar nearby was for sale and he bought it and called it "BUD"S". We used to get there at 11am when they opened and have a beer and then ordered wings for the 2nd beer. They made wings ANY way you could think to order. We always ordered their GARLIC wings, they were the best in the world!! Crispy and loaded with garlic. Needless to say, after an order of wings, NO one would even sit close to us!! Til this day, the WD still talks about how she couldn't even come in the house for 3 days after my garlic wing binges. Since then, my friend died about 5 years ago and the owner of the bar died at 38 years old shortly after that. I just talked to my friend from high school this morning that I haven't seen in many years and he asked me to meet him and about 10 others from school for breakfast tomorrow morning. I said ok, where? He asked me if I knew where a place called Buddy's was! I said sure, I spent many hours there, but wasn't sure if it was even open these days. I don't know who owns it now and if they still have wings, but I'll find out. Who knows, I might know the new owner! Other than that, I've always enjoyed the wings at Beef O'Brady's with Marion and Pete. We went everytime I visited them and it was always great. Thanks Marion and Pete, I owe you a dinner when I get back to Florida.
